Hope the Bond news is correct. Looks like he just wasn’t developing the way he needed to but everything seems to point to a perfect fit character wise. Still room for one more addition to fill this thing out.

I think there's just a lot of unknowns with a new roster, but it's not a bad thing either with how we finished last year.

Yeah. Sorry, if you’re referring to my comment I think we probably use one more ride. Too late for a HS kid and the options in the portal will eventually dry up….maybe. I feel like maybe we hold one but maybe I’m way off. When you build a team one year at a time you might try and fill every year.

This tweet is from a Cincinnati fan. So apparently the rumors aren't only in UNI circles. Based on everything we've heard, I'll be shock if he's not coming to UNI.

It's definitely Leon Bond, and that's a great get. 6'5" and strong. He can get to the hoop and rebound the ball as well. He's also a great defender, which is why Virginia made a ton of sense. He did essentially lose all playing time last year after January but was the only freshman playing at Virginia. I also think it's hard to judge offensive numbers for guys in Virginia's system. We all got a good look at it in the NCAA play in game last year.

I agree with others that we could really use another shooter or a guy to handle the ball, but our wing and 2 guard depth is outstanding. It would be great for Pock to really take a giant leap forward with his shot this year.

I would like Pacheco's fit as a shooter, but I could also really see the benefit of finding another quick point guard with some experience.

Outside of RJ, we're not going to play anybody under 6-4.

So it's not an end all be all, but I was looking at some analytics, and Evan Miya has player ratings and rankings for every single player in NCAA, from Number 1 (Zach Edey) to Number 3006 (Some guy from Alabama State). Leon Bond ranks at 748th in the country, which would actually be our second best player on the team last year, only behind Tytan, just ahead of Heise and Born.

A one year, older PG would be the perfect finish to this class but that's just getting greedy. Trey and Weisbrod handle it well enough to play the point when RJ isn't in the game.

I've been told the jump that RJ has already made in the off-season is astounding and he's got the whole summer left.

Not as experienced as what we had last year but probably more talented overall.

Certainly not a get I was expecting. Great job by the staff exceeding our expectations on that one.

Not at all surprised RJ has made major strides after a year on campus. Wouldn't be too mad with him starting given Trey is in that backcourt too, and I'm sure he'll expand his game this offseason as well. Might be our biggest threat. I don't think it's greedy to go get a PG. Maybe a starter, but I don't want to rule it out. We definitely need at least one more guard, even if it's a reserve 10 minute a night guy. I guess I don't know too much about Weisbrod, but I wasn't super comfortable with Trey as the main ball handler last year(Heise often ran the second unit if Born was out) though I think he could be that guy this year. Still leaves little margin for error which I'm not sure if Weisbrod is that guy or not.
