Glad we're getting Connor Best, I'm not a huge fan of Charlie Just-Okay.

...Yeah that's all I got, sorry.

Hunter Morgan committed from the Houston, TX area. He's a 5'10" ATH. He appears to be very fast but came out of a really small school.

Played six-man football in high school.

Got a commitment from Jeremiah Cain from Oswego, IL. He's a 6'2" WR/DB and we were his only D1 offer.

Keep an eye out for this guy. Jaxon Cherry 6'2" 245 running back from Webster City scheduled to attend Iowa western CC. Kid has outstanding balance. A great drive. Doesn't go down.

Injuries or grades the reason for IWCC? I saw he was Offensive MVP in the Shrine Bowl with 3 TDs. Farley would try to convert him to a middle linebacker…

According to the article I read about his commitment to IWCC, he's going to focus on defense. It's a shame - my parents still live in Webster City, and my father could not stop talking about what a dominant RB he was for them. Must figure that's his best shot to transfer up (?)

                Victory for U-N-I!

Find out what the other team wants to do, then take it away from them.

Got a Kicker commitment! Kongolo Mwenemkamba is joining us from Iowa Central Community College. He apparently has built up some good leg strength and can boot it pretty far.

In a 7/14 post, he noted that in a camp with UNI, he ran a 4.6 40 and finished the day with a 54-yard FG.

He played high school football and soccer at Iowa City City High:

Kongolo Mwenemkamba plans to attend Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge after graduating from City High School. He will continue playing football and plans to major in kinesiology.

Got a commitment from Colby Eskildsen out of Northwood, IA. He's a big kid at 6'6"and I'm guessing they are going to turn him into a huge tackle. Planty of room for him to fill out. We offered him a couple weeks ago at our camp and we were his only D1 offer at the time. He did have a PWO offer at Northern Illinois.

Young was named to the StarTrib's "Minnesota Dream Team" today by columnist Jim Paulson:

                        "Josiah Young, cornerback, Totino-Grace, senior
                        Height, weight: 6-3, 165
                        College: Northern Iowa

Basketball background shows in his agility and ability to turn and stay with receivers. Closes gaps swiftly, shows strong on-ball skills and supports the run well."

The Minnesota Star Tribune’s Jim Paulsen produced his annual list, complete with college plans and this time including players from outside the Twin Cities.
