We got out-rebounded by 8 also. I thought Finley looked like she'd been moving better the last couple of games, but she wasn't in the game at crunch time last night. That quick 3 that Laube took with a minute left and missed (and that we didn't get the rebound for) was unfortunate; although I'm guessing she has the green light for those shots.

Salukis had a slim lead over Drake for a bit in their 3rd quarter before Drake pulled away. Saturday could be another tough one

Ladies bounce back with a 94 to 81 victory. Emerson Green scored a career high 26 to lead the Panthers over Southern Illinois. Boffeli had 24 and McDermott had 21.

Alone in 2nd place as Drake got beat by Missouri State also.

Wednesday February 1st is Drake at home at 6pm.

Good win today. Wednesday will be tough. 2-8 in the last 10 matchups with Drake. Happy this is in Cedar Falls.

That game was kind of nuts. Really kicking myself for not seeing it in person.

Crazy game. Score 24 of the 49 points in the first quarter. 2 points in the second. Crowd really strong at the beginning and died until the last 2 minutes of the game. McDermott with the game winner again.

Maya's winning shot made Sportscenter top 10 with Scott Van Pelt.

McDermott's confident look and finger point to someone in the crowd after sinking that shot is wonderful.

                  "Well, that escalated quickly."

Anybody hear why Goebel wasn't in uniform the last two games?

                      I was wondering that too.

Goebel was back today. Nice dominating victory over Indiana State 91 to 51.

Wow. That one was a struggle. Won 55 to 47. Shot 36.7% and even worse from 3 pts range. Also got out rebounded. Happy we got the W.

I thought a couple of Panthers looked tired tonight. For awhile, this looked like it was going to be a game that got away. On the plus side, Maya McDermott seems to be an endless ball of energy. Her ability to push the ball up the court late in the game is something that is amazing to watch.

The Flames took down Drake today by 12. I hadn't looked at the standings for a bit, and didn't realized they had climbed to 5th place.

Also Illinois State lost to the Bears, so we're tied for first again. Behind us by a game is Belmont, who's won 8 in a row.
