I think she could be a really nice player for us, dealt with some injuries that really slowed her at Iowa

I haven’t seen this posted yet nor do I see a specific WBB recruiting or 2023-24 thread yet so I’ll put it here. Iowa transfer to UNI.

Changing gears, are we in on any of the women’s transfers leaving Iowa State? That team seems to be mini-imploding.
Yeah, big discussion on CycloneFanatic about it. Donarski is a really nice all around big guard, but I'm going to guess she'll have no trouble finding a high major who wants her. I saw some speculation that Fritz wants to be closer to home - she's from Tennessee, and former Missouri State coach Kellie Harper is now at UT. The others I'm not sure about. Kane seemed to be a guaranteed starter now that Soares 6th year was denied.

Outside of a very talented and even more extraordinarily always whiny clark..iowa isn't built for that moment. It was clear without Clark on the floor they struggled to show any life of real offense. They ran thru the motion offense but no one knew who to take charge after a 2nd or third pass when that pass woulda been intended for Clark. It was the quietest high scoring output by her and well done by LSU. I had wondered why S. Carolina hadn't played that way that LSU defended her after having even more time to scout and prep for her.

On the flip side. I HATE Kim Mulkey with a passion (coaching wise). And agree she was allowed free reign of the arena as her coaching box today. There shoulda been a prop bet of how short of time she actually was in the coaching box today. Over/under had to be 8 minutes for sure.

Lastly tho. When a team is hot..they hot. And the bench came to play. Carson from State was amazing and i basically turned the game off after the redic. dagger bank 3 at the half. It was over really then. I only kept the game on to see if iowa could get multiple consecutive stops.

Clark getting T'd up and then the ref lying about the reason she got T'd up, all while the other coach was on the court for all 40 minutes and even bumped into/grabbed a ref and didn't even get a warning was wild.
The tech was BS, but Iowa shot the same amount of free throws and had the same amount of fouls while shooting twice as many 3s.

They gave up 102 points and lost by 17, the officiating was not the issue, and the pearl clutching is even funnier.

I missed what refs said about the tech - what'd they say?

Watching Iowa fans who watched their second game all season whine about refs and the other teams "class" will never not be funny

Sorest bunch of people I've ever seen, it makes it hard to ever pull for them.

No fun to be on the short end of the final score, but it was a very pleasing season with lots to look forward to for 23-24 season. Great group of competitors for sure and, as we have come to know, good students also. Thanks.

Overall, we have faced Nebraska seven times. The 2016 win is our only win of the seven. However, I know we can win this one.

And Belmont got blown out despite 35 from Wells (who it appears will return next season)
