Drake and UNI are the only ones that show up anyway, might as well make it an easier drive.

I love that it's coming to Xtream Arena. Plenty of places to stay, eat and drink. It's a more intimate arena and should make a better environment.

Under less than happy circumstances, presumably. I could see her being frustrated with lack of playing time. She was a bright spot when Iowa thumped us.

There was one week where coach Oakland filled in for coach Warren on the Monday presser, which was after we'd played Bradley. He talked like the team and staff were all familiar with her.

Poock is really, really good but there are some family/attitude concerns there. No doubt she'd be great on the court but I don't know how well she fits with the team.

I took a gander over at Mizzous message board just to check on how they all felt bout Carter..fwiw..it gave me a good chuckle to see all their distaste for him.

I hated the end of regulation play. We needed to get the ball to Grace or have Maya make something happen.

I wonder if Drake gave us a defensive look that confused us; I don't know, just guessing.

So as I understand it, there will be not only the traditional WNIT taking 48 teams, but the new NCAA-sponsored WBIT taking another 32. I'm going to guess the WBIT will be power conference teams only, perhaps with some mid-major regular season champs that didn't survive their tournaments?

100% agree. We weren't winning in overtime and that last possession was a disaster.

Waited way too long to start the action and didn't keep the ball in the right hands. It HAS to be Bofelli setting a ball screen for McDermott and making Drake decide what they're going to do. Worst case scenario should've been Bofelli getting that 15 footer she hits a a decent clip.

We beat them twice in the 22-23 regular season, but yeah, we can't get past them in the tournament. Anna Miller always gives Boffeli a tough time. Have to give props to McCauley and Becker for Drake, neither were anything special before this season, but they stepped up to give Drake a really solid starting 5.
