Roll damn cats baby. We had an easier time with them than we did UIC. We're gonna have a tough task ahead of us, but might as well win it.

2 of the 3 sets in the first match we played against them here (back in September) were deuce (23-25 and 25-27), so I see no reason to think it won't be a competitive match

Almost Panthers. Great season Bobbi. How many unforced errors did we have in the last half of the 5th set?

It just feels like we're not allowed to win these types of games/matches anymore.

I think there were 4 service errors in the last half of the fifth set. We sure gave them a battle! Thanks for such a great season, ladies.:-)

So many missed opportunities in the last half of set 5. But, wow, this team fought to the very end. There was no fear or any give up. Just were not able to finish it off. What a fantastic season. Great Team and Wonderful Program They gave us Panther fans something to be very proud of. Going to miss this group of seniors.

Got to watch the replay tonight. Man that was an intense match. It's hard to say we let one get away from us when we were facing the 1 seed, but that really felt like one that we let slip through our fingers. I am so impressed with how well everything operates.

Just an incredible effort and another incredible season for the GOAT Bobbi!

Losing sucks, but man, we went down fighting! So cool how this team came together. I have to say that I don't remember Rewerts being a big deal at Drake, and I don't remember Hartman playing in '23, but both were beasts this season!

if you have not been a fan of Panther volleyball you don’t know what you have been missing. I think a lot of eyes have been opened up on how good of a program this is.

a lot to replace, but I have totally confidence in this staff

I've read that Kara Oxenknecht (#3, MB, played freshman year at New Hampshire, transferred to UNI and played in 3 matches as a sophomore in 2023. I don't believe she played in any this season) has entered the transfer portal.

After the win vs UNI, Louisville volleyball handled Purdue fairly easily in the regional semifinal, then beat Stanford just now to advance to the National Semifinals (Final Four). Similar to the UNI match, Louisville again benefited from Stanford having a high number of service errors (though not quite to the extent of what UNI did late in the 5th).
I'm pulling for Louisville to win the championship, as it would be somewhat of a consolation to know just how close we were to beating the national champs.

Wonder if we get a transfer from the portal with Kara leaving. We have had pretty good success with transfers the past few years.

Louisville (who UNI came oh so close to beating in the 2nd round) has won their semifinal and will advance to Sunday's championship match (against the winner of Nebraska vs. Penn St).
After dropping the first set, the Cardinals won sets 2 and 3. Then early in the 4th, Louisville's star 5th year senior (and hometown player) went down with an ankle sprain. Payton Petersen (Bobbi's daughter) stepped in to her spot in the rotation and had a highlight reel performance with some spectacular digs, 2 service aces, a block assist, and 2 kills including the one that scored match point.

I wonder if Bobbi was able to attend the match (I would guess she probably did)

CKS noted on twitter that they showed the Petersens in the stands briefly on the ESPN broadcast after some of Payton's big plays.
Also, Payton was one of the players at the postgame presser, and there is some fun discussion with her and about her.
