"A total of 14 members of the UNI wrestling team picked up First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors on Tuesday as the conference office announced its slate of academic honorees during the 2023-24 winter sports season.
First team selections consist of student-athletes who have maintained a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or better during the season, while second team honorees have posted a cumulative GPA between 3.00 and 3.19.
In addition to maintaining a steady GPA, student-athletes must also have competed in at least 20% of their team's total competitions on the season. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Seniors who participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percentage of participation are also eligible."
