Another year another no season ticket package for me, sadly.

Kids have hit that age and it's only getting worse as my oldest will be joining a traveling soccer team this coming year. Between youth football, club soccer for 2 kids, traveling...

  • Again, he's a really good player. I wasn't saying "I don't see the hype" like we've had with other players on our roster. I get it with him. Iowa sniffing around is largely because Fran is in a down recruiting period at the very end of his...

  • I'm torn on Kerns, having watched him in person multiple times.

There's a ton of talent there, but I'm not entirely sure I see a Valley "athlete". It could be there, and he's very clearly the best kid on the court every single...

The previous facility cost was as high as it was in no small part because part of the plan was to "blow a hole" in the west side of the McLeod and connect the two. Retrofitting is always more expensive than building stand-alone.

About what? This is going to be 100% funded by donor funds. No AD funds. No general funds. No university subsidy. No state funding.

If they have a problem with it they can **** off and go find donors to give them 10 million dollars....

Newby averaged 9 points 2 boards 1 assist for his career- shooting 43% from the floor and 36% from deep
Ali was here for 2 years averaged 9 points 2 rebounds 1 assist shooting splits of 44/37
    Wes played 3 years...

  • If you want to be insanely jealous go look at what High Point or Fairfield have. They are sized for them but my god they are gorgeous in every way. I watch games on ESPN+ every time I see them hosting. Then again I also watch very Manhattan game I can...

  • I had to cut off at some point and went with players who played in McLeod. Benny J missed it by a few months.

As for it was put up for good feelings and color? True, and when it was put up Luke was the perfect person for it. However, it...

  • You will be insanely hard-pressed to find a more universally loved Panther that was the epitome of the attitude of an era/team/program. Did you forget that for 3 years, after his freshman year, the entire arena yelling "LUUUUUUUUUUUUUKE" every...

I have heard the same, and the lead gift would do significant damage to the total cost.

I too had the initial thought - and shared the "Debbie Downer" version of it with BAP (she can confirm) - that this isn't any different than...

IIRC the study correct it's as bad and was in the bottom 2 with no football at all but only slightly ahead beacuse you get tuition from the kids on the team rather than paying for scholarships.

But we aren't a private school like every other...

  • With OSU being open, and Mc$ being floated there and ND heavily the last few years, I don't think it's crazy Mc$ ends up there and Darian gets his call back to Creighton because he's 100% ready and can "friend hat" Tucker for a year like, Mc$...

Again, I challenge you to find me one school that is healthier as a school after dropping football. Hell, keep it smaller than the university level. Find one athletic department that actually got better and are now a bigger brand because they dumped...

Don't expect to hear anything for quite a while. The search didn't officially start until sometime in Jan or earlier this month. I know stuff happens on the back end before that, but nothing is even going to be in the leak range of "this person...

Name 1 athletic department that dropped football in the last 20-25 years that is stronger now, and is a bigger brand, than it was with football. Hell, go back further even.

The one exception you may find is Wichita, but that is an extreme...
