I’d think Gillespie in particular will get a lot of P6 interest....

The more I think about it, SLU could be attractive to a guy like Schertz. Doesn’t SLU have some big $ behind the school? That’s always been my impression. Plus they’ve been competitive in the past. You can win there, but it may lack the huge,...

Schertz was also mentioned semi-prominently in an article about potential candidates at Louisville. It seems like his current ceiling is higher than SLU....

Agreed. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Waco, but last I knew it was a town with some issues. Not saying crime and gangs don’t exist in Louisville, but Waco had a rep for that given its size....

Just speculation, but I wouldn’t be shocked if 1) TJ Otz is named as a candidate at any upcoming heavyweight opening. He’s proven he can win at the P6 level, gets his teams to play hard nosed D, etc. ISU is being named by many as a legit final...

I agree. The good UNI teams have always had one of those guys. The problem is we’ve either been reluctant to recruit that kind of player, or not overly successful at it. UNI has had a handful of guys who were good at that, but you have to go...

I agree with the semi-low ceiling. The roster seems to be made up of several solid players, guys who would have important roles on a MVC champ level team. But, there isn’t anyone who’s the next level up from that. Born has proven he’s good in...

Kevin Lehman was on KXNO today. He felt UNI biggest weakness this year was lack of physical guard play. He basically said Born and Campbell don’t fit that mold, and it hurt us against a team like Indiana State since we had nobody to stop Julian Larry...

Can’t remember the exact quote, and as I said, it could’ve been an interpretation issue on my part. I was driving and at the time, it got me thinking for a few seconds whether Heise has another year left or not. “Vague implication” is a good...

Heise is good enough to see plenty of minutes at a P6 school, and probably for significantly more NIL money than UNI can pay. Nobody is going to pay him to ride the bench for one year, but he’s better than that....

I heard parts of this past games’ radio broadcast. JW Cox seemed to imply that this was probably Heise’s last regular season game. It was a vague hint, not firm, so could’ve been interpretation too....

This plays in to the “let one or two guys kill us from three who normally shoot 20%” approach as well. I get you’ll need to double and help at times, but we also seem to get beat by the one guy having a career night somewhat often. Like someone...
