This would be a very weak, low integrity move by Gonzaga or Loyola IMO, and probably not viewed favorably by the conference with the conference tournament TV dollars and ticket sales at stake. Then again, if it helps the MVC get two teams in, maybe...

Great to hear about the financial side being in order. Make the best decision for both the team and player without money being the deciding factor....

I was at that Green/Phyfe game, was sitting about 3 rows down from Morgan and Jesperson. Literally the only home CF basketball game I’ve been to. I was coming to town for a Panthers game and made it an overnight so I could check out that game. You’re...

Do I miss when we played defense? The only thing better than giving up someone’s career high scoring night is to have him beat it against you exactly one week later. Heck Yesufu I miss playing defense.

This game was never in question for a single moment. Got run off our own floor by the team just above us in the standings. Here’s hoping the guys take it personally and come out swinging tomorrow.

Didn’t we also start 1-10 from 3 in our last game?!?
Maybe the logic on defense is if we can’t make a 3 then we don’t have to guard theirs?

I wonder if in a few years we’ll be eating our words of “why did the MVC choose them?” similar to Loyola’s first couple years. It’s possible the MVC was more lucky than good with that one but it’s sure worked out.

Yeah, I agree with everything said, the refs clearly did not cost us this game. In the moment it was frustrating because after calling nothing for the first 12 minutes, when they finally started being visible and making calls is when things started falling...

Yesufu backup PG has to have a career high. Can get a layup whenever he wants.

Wow, Henry fouled clear as day while trying to lay it in then Berhow takes a forearm to the chest while completely stationary and no call on that either.

3s were open just missed them all. Every time Drake looks at the hoop when in the lane they get a foul call, while we apparently are rebounding with one arm because we like to show off, not because our other arm is being held. Cant secure a rebound...

Technically even 0-4 after Betz missed the first of two. Finishing 15-16 is not only great from a % standpoint, but also the fact that they even got to the line 20 times in the game (7 more times than ISU). Still relied on the three (though ISU took...

The two against Valpo next weekend will be huge for this. I actually would have preferred Drake beat them today, both to gain us ground for the 6 seed and the chance to be the first to beat a ranked, undefeated team this Wednesday. But oh well, I won’t...

They hit three contested, very difficult shots in a row to keep us at bay, then hit a wide open three to go up 8, not because of good ball movement or slow rotations - we just failed to guard that guy. All the while our last four trips (I think) to...

FYI - tickets to UNI Drake game on Feb 10 in the Knapp Center went on sale to the general public at 10am today. Looks like there are still some “pods” of 3 or 4 tickets available - a little surprising for an undefeated, ranked team against an in-state...

Other team makes 15 threes, you shoot 9-21 from the line. It was a miracle it was only a 3 point game, and that was with a scramble play where we almost got a steal that resulted in a 3 and then another 3 about 8 feet behind the line. Compared to Carter’s...Last edited by UNI Ka-Bullseye; 01-31-2021, 07:16 PM.
