Trees are Home in the nation in Rim & 3 rate. I don't think Schertz will be coaching there for long.

Today a door dash delivery guy stumbled on to the court during the Loyola game. It gave them all something to smile and laugh about during this difficult season, if only for a little while.
Redbirds let Bradley off the hook in Peoria. Absolutely...

At the moment Kenpom projects a final conference record of 11.74 - 8.26.
Doesn't take into account the fact that so many of Jake's teams play their best basketball in February. I don't usually buy in to that kind of narrative but if you...

The team deserves so much credit for what they've done to get this year on track. The schedule was light there for a bit, but they took care of business both at home and on the road. A lot of more talented UNI teams in the past would have lost at least...

Maybe, time will tell. You're talking about the 6 year run when they had 2 generational talents, both underrecruited guys that no one of note wanted. Gonna be tough to hit the lotto on that again.
That run they had was really nothing short...

I am shocked to hear they were picked 4th in that league. This dumpster fire was entire predictable from this point of view.
But I think that entire program was built like a house of cards, and I think A10 is going to regret Loyola in the...

[#]238 Loyola lost by 30 to bottom feeder St Joseph. Their 6th straight loss. But I'm not going to dwell on that because that would be petty. Good luck in the next one, Ramblers.

Update, Eliot has taken a job as a Hawkeye recruiting insider for Rivals. Happy for him, but disappointed that one of the only reliable UNI accounts on Twitter is going to be switching the Hawk talk....

Gotta love those late runs to ease stress and pump up the metrics. Would love to see UNI go on a run here before the calendar turns to February and the schedule gets tougher.
In other news Loyola lost again. They are down to [#191] and...

Gauntlet is a strong word describe anything happening in the league this year. There are zero world beaters.
But that will certainly be a tough stretch for UNI, point standsLast edited by not a drake fan; 01-05-2023, 05:22 PM.

Yes, typo. Also lost Goanar and Evan Gauger, so greater than 95%.
Almost twice as much turnover as UNI has ever had in modern program history. Previous high was 52% of minutes/points lost (Tuttle's class)....

Sorry about the long post above. Follow up, do we realize that UNI lost 95 percent of their minutes from last year? I'm surprised by that number as I look at it now.
The ones we knew, Burhow and Pickford, but also AJ, Carter, Pickford, and...

I have an Excel doc on this, there is some history that suggests UNI will in fact take a big jump.
There have been 5 years under Jake when UNI returned 75% or more of it's minutes and points scored. On average UNI improved by 67 Kenpom spots...Last edited by not a drake fan; 01-05-2023, 08:37 AM.

This is a bummer. Eliot did a great job covering UNI and I for one greatly appreciated it.
