I beg to differ. Haven't said anything false yet, to my knowledge....

And, in a bizarre, inverse way, lakesbison probably likes UNI more than some UNI "fans."...

I'm barely a basketball fan to begin with, so whatever conference I'm suggested to follow ain't gonna happen anyway.
I follow UNI basketball (and ISU, a little) and that's it when it comes to round ball....

In fairness, no, I don't have any real "pull" with them, but I do have a direct family connection to them....

No idea. I was seeing if there's a closing date on the job advertisement, but there isn't an advertisement. I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting, like all of us BB fans!...

I worked on them to come here, but no interest, for one primary reason....

I see big things coming for us Panthers, eh, folks?! Farley's genius has them already on the ropes!

We can add BCEaster to that list as well. Dropped the disguised f bomb on me during Easter. God bless.
87panther14 (or whatever her handle is) deserves the ax as well. LOVES to name call, which, ironically, can be witnessed immediately...Last edited by A Fan In Lean Years; 04-09-2021, 08:02 AM.

Because I recognize that 66% is larger than 61%, and that I always root for the Panthers on a panther "fan" forum? Got it!...

I can assure you I'm not, simply because I have ZERO idea what "trolling" (whatever that is)....

Actually, YOU'RE wrong. I've posted both of their major accomplishments, all found right before your very eyes on UNI's websites, and Jacobson has half of the accomplishments of Farley's.
I don't dislike any of our coaches or teams. I...

Unfortunately, EVERY category shows us so. It's all perception, my friend. which is why I'm so fascinated by it and the collective herd....

But, semi-finals appearances (Jacobson has none), national championship appearances (Jacobson has none), makes the post-season every year (Jacobson does not), and has woin 66% of his games, Jacobson has not.
Two wins, my friend. Two wins...

Yep, two big wins, and a sweet 16 (one of the wins came then). Aside from that, Farley has outperformed him on nearly every level, yet, curiously, everyone calls for his job, while lauding Jacobson as a coaching genius with a 61% winning percentage...

It certainly could be, which is why the proper calcutation is the one that the UNI athletic department-and everyone else-uses.
Therefore, science shows us 66% compared to 61% Which is closer to "mediocracy?"...Last edited by A Fan In Lean Years; 04-08-2021, 11:27 AM.

And, therein lies precisely why we pay $1 million/year: a coach that has won two games; Kansas and North Carolina. Outside, of that, that's all she wrote, folks. That's been my pernt from the get-go: it's all perception and having "the look."...

All well and good, but their percentages are not based on that sample. Furthermore, would could selectively choose from within any ten year span to make that percentage look higher.
Nope, just using the basic stertistercal calcutation that...

False, as they are coaching different abilities and interests.
Great comparison, indeed!...

Anyway you chop it, most (and I obviously need to qualify that term) will say that 66% is larger than 61%.
I've also never heard an ESPN announcer say, "So and so has an 80% winning percentage, ONLY IN BASKETBALL, though! He'd be a...Last edited by A Fan In Lean Years; 04-08-2021, 07:21 AM.
