The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

No, it's not. I'm plugging it in there though. I think it's just a formality at this point in time. Right now, this is the unofficial basketball schedule!

Actually think I may be attending that game. A friend's brother goes to TCU. He also play baseball there and I was fortunate enough to get to experience Rosenblatt and Omaha for the first time this summer, when TCU made it. Such a great experience, something I'll never forget. Sorry about the off-topic but it was amazing.

              Official schedule released today.

              http://www.unipanthers.com/sports/m-...082710aaa.html

Looks like the SIU, Drake, and Wichita home games are all on saturdays this year, so that is a plus IMO. The Creighton home game is on a wednesday though. I also don't like that our last game is at Creighton.

Agreed. Could be a real downer.

I wish there could be more weekend afternoon games, instead of the weekend games always being so late. Only reason I say that is so my children can attend more games. It's just a fun winter weekend activity to go to an afternoon game since all the weeknight ones are at night (obviously for good reason!).

Hate ending at Creighton - guess we'll just have to win it all again!

Re: The Official '10-'11 Basketball Schedule

A couple explanations for game times and TBD.
Syracuse is still listed as a TBD. Looking at last year's games every one was covered on tv, whether on ESPN family of networks, Time Warner (5), or Big East Network (8). My guess is that they are trying to get a tv situation worked out. Not sure what other games they may be competing with on that night, but I would think an ESPNU type channel would find the game as attractive.

Not sure what's up with the UW-M game still be TBD. UW-M released their 'tentative' schedule as a 7PM game in the US Cellular Center. http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/...btentsched.pdf

The North Dakota game is scheduled for 8PM `That's the same night as the MVC volleyball championship hosted in the McLeod Center.

The Iowa game is a TBD most likely for Big Ten Network tv slotting. The 8PM home game vs Creighton is at 8PM due to ESPNU, while the Wichita State 9PM game on a Saturday night on ESPN2 (seriously this should be a great atmosphere for the students) is that late for ESPN coverage.

                      Some of my thoughts...:
Already 4 ESPN family of network games (and more will probably be added if season goes as well as most hope).

The last game of the year is against Creighton. The MVC office must feel that Missouri State and Wichita are the top two teams in the league as they are scheduled to play on the same day in the 'Wild Card' games (i.e.- TBD whether game will be on ESPN or MVC TV or none). UNI will play at Creighton. The other games that day are Drake/Bradley, Ind St/SIU, Ill St/Evansville. My guess is that UNI gets one of those two 'Wild Card' games.

The longest road swing for the year is 2 games. The longest home stand is 3 games (once). Only once are their back to back conference road games. This should help keep the team from getting too off track if they start to struggle (i.e.- road games usually equate to inconsistency).

Perceived easier front half of the conference schedule with only @ Wichita as a probable top half of conference pre-season game.

Longest time between games is 7 days (once over Thanksgiving week), 6 days (twice). The shortest time b/t games in conference is 48 hours (at Indiana State on Friday night, home to Bradley on Sunday night before students start back on Monday...this looks to be an ESPNU game if you ask me. 6 or 8PM Sunday night games usually are ESPNU games).

Last year, KWWL aired two games on their station (Iowa and Drake), with six others on 7.3. There was only one home game not on tv last year (Evansville on New Years). With this year's schedule, I would expect the Iowa State and Drake games to again be on KWWL, with probably all but 2-3 games this year not being aired (North Dakota, SIU-E, SC State)...and maybe they will. Time will tell how much KWWL is going to step up to the plate.

So, the TV sched looks decent and the overall schedule is really impressive. Not much I can complain about.
I am almost wondering if the WSU home game isn't the ESPN College Gameday Game. Looking back to last years schedule on ESPN, that weekend's feature game was on ESPN2 due to NASCAR coverage on ESPN. How incredibly awesome would it be to have Gameday...

That would be crazy awesome. It would make sense for such a late start too. Have we ever had an ESPN game start that late?

ESPN has already announced the College Gameday locations and games for basketball. http://www.espnmediazone3.com/us/201...llege-gameday/

Gameday is at Nova on Feb 12th.

What I have always wondered is why don't they do a Gameday location at a mid-major on BracketBuster weekend.

PSN TV games added to schedule... I count 8 games I believe.
"I think they're very good," Farley said of the preseason top 25 Hawkeyes. "But so are we."
