Where does UNI's 2004 FB schedule rank in toughness on a scale of 0 (weak) to 10 (being tops in the country). How good will SFA be? I know they still have the Tompkins kid, but where will they be predicted to be ranked at preseason? Also, how good will Northern Arizona be? Thanks!

Rating UNI's schedule
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.Tags: None

I'm biased...but I think this has to be one of the toughest in the country. Maine has a tough schedule also.
SFA does return QB, two quality receivers, transfer RB from Texas A&M and Tompkins. Tompkins is like a water bug. He has to be one of the most exciting players in I-AA football. We need to utilize Breeland like they use Tompkins. They however lose their entire defensive secondary. The two safety's were extremely good......one I think being defensive player of year in Southland Conf. Should be another great UNI vs SFA game!
NAU---this is off the top of my head.....they return soph QB who was 1st team all conf as Freshman. They lost two receivers over 1,000 yards. I think one was drafted (Clearance Moore). They return RB who had over 1000 yards. I think they have to replace many OL. Defense...don't know anything about. Since we are playing in Flagstaff.....gotta be a tough game.
found a link.....
On another note......Southern Illinois plays at Northern Illinois this year. I think its the same weekend as ISU at Iowa. The SIU vs NIU game should be very good. I hope the Salukis pull it out!!!!!!!!Last edited by Chitown Panther; 04-30-2004, 08:23 AM."We're not an ordinary school," said Fort. "We have tradition. We have a good team year after year. Another tough campaign for the Cats. They're all tough anymore.
As far as SIU/NIU, Cap'n Cat would also like to see the Salukis take one in DeKalb......and have that be their only win!!!!!!!

Well, Cap'n, I would like to see the Salukis win in Dekalb as well.
However, I would like to see them put together another good season. It makes it more fun when the Gateway is stacked with good teams.
Of course, just my opinion.

Everyone's favorite Tony Moss has picked UNI's non-conference schedule as the #10 toughest in 1-AA
10. Northern Iowa (@Iowa State (9/4), Minnesota State (9/11), Stephen F. Austin (9/18), @Northern Arizona (11/20) - Panthers should escape September 2-1, but trip to Flagstaff looms after what figures to be a difficult conference season.

Tony Moss knows his stuff....has he made a trip to CF lately....if he is going to....the right people should contact him and show him a great night out at Shag's and then to get some Stein Pizza (still the right name???)
Moss loves to go out and drinky....
