Playoffs are out of reach if we lose to the birds. The 5-5 Birds are our only obstacle left (besides the selection committee). I really like the way our defense is playing now. Of course a 34-0 win over a 1-8 (now 1-9) Western Illinois team isn't a great indicator, but the defense has been aggressive, rabid and looking to hit. I see UNI winning this one in a close game. Illinois State has pride to play for and their seniors are going to want to finish their home careers strong by knocking us out of the playoffs. This one makes me nervous. 27-24 Panthers win.

NO CHANCE we give up 24 points to the birds. Only four teams have scored more than 14 against us... (Iowa, NDSU, SIU, SDSU)

Hopefully Carlos' hammy is healing up okay. If he's not 100%, I'd almost think it would be better for him to repeat last week's role: be ready to go if need be, but if Derrick, Matt, and Joe are getting the job done, keep Carlos on the sidelines so as not to risk tweaking the injury again.Originally posted by GonzoCat View Post
