  • Iowa State attendence for our game

There is a thread on the ISU rivals message board talking about the possible attendence numbers. It's kind of funny. I will be at the game, and I think UNI will take a fairly large amount of fans. What does everyone think about UNI's attendence at this game? I think UNI will bring 8-10,000.

The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

I think UNI will take 50,000 fans to Ames, just as Iowa took 50,000 fans to Miami.

I thought last years attendance by UNI fans was low. Maybe there will be more interest this year.

Expectations for last year's team was not high. This year, UNI smells blood and I think the fans will come. I thought the UNI crowd was pretty decent. Tickets were hard to come by too. I almost didn't get in.

That's true there were a lot of ISU fans there and tickets got tight. I don't know if there will be the same amount of ISU fans or less or what. I know there were a lot of fans at the spring scrimmage for ISU. It was during Veisha though.

I think after Nebraska and Iowa UNI draws the third highest crowd for ISU games. Don't know whether that's attributable to UNI fans or ISU fans thinking it's a chance to see a win. There are tons of UNI alum in the Dsm area and for us this is a home game. I think UNI will bring 10,000, we are thinking we can start winning this game again given where the two programs are at. Would rather play it late in the year though, ISU always plays their best early.

How do they even estimate how many fans are for which team anyway? I've never missed a UNI/ISU game, but I get my tickets through ISU, not UNI, as I can get better seats that way.

I'm pretty sure they give UNI their allotment of tickets and the unsold ones go back to ISU as general tix. The ones UNI sells are the official count of UNI fans at the game. So there is a finite max number of offical UNI fans.

Yeah, I remember last year trying to get tickets through the UNI ticket office, and they didn't have any. I am not sure if UNI didn't get tickets, or if they just sold out of them. Regardless, there will be more UNI fans at that game than last year. Go Panthers!

i'm getting married the day after UNI will beat Iowa State, so I won't be in Ames to witness the triumph....wish i could be there, but i don't think i can come

my prediction.....175 and 2 TDs for Freeney......Petrie will do okay, something like 11-20 for 120 and a TD....final score, 23-20 UNI!!!
