The way things are trending? We lost by 1 at NDSU and went to OT against a good SIU team. You guys have beat 3 pretty terrible teams.

No offense, but if we win by less than 14 we might as well give up hope on this season.

Have we beat 4 pretty terrible teams now, or will you look deeper into teams before assuming you're going to win walking away? I wanted to talk about how the teams stack up, but got mostly arrogant responses. Have fun going 0-8 in the conference I guess.

Keep it real Panther Fans. This was a legit win from USD. The total yards were 510-315 in favor of the Coyotes or something to that effect. No amount of officiating or bad breaks can make up for a near 200 yard difference in total yards. The Yotes won this game because they have a confidence about themselves that has been growing at an accelerated rate. They stayed in the game because they have a coach that has won multiple national championships including won at D1 FCS Montana. Over time teams tend to play to the level of their competition. USD was 0-8 last year in conference but they weren't going to stay a doormat forever. I did not expect a win today to be honest but a close game was certainly no surprise. A win was a fairly large one in my opinion. When the two teams rematch next year in Vermillion dare I say that the Yotes will have a good shot to make it 2 in a row.

the people here who claimed that USD was a total crap team were living in the past.
Yes, UNI should have won the game, but the Coyotes are a decent team.
Was the worst officiating I've ever seen in a game, but that doesn't excuse how the Panthers shot themselves in the foot by electing not to play in the second half.

I did have to laugh at the PA music guy picking Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" after one of Sawyer's INT throws. "Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind?"

win out, and UNI will probably squeak into the playoffs. But I don't see that happening, unless our play vastly improves. And we don't have the depth for a playoff run anyway.

I wonder if the addition (or I should say, the transition to D-I) of the Dakota teams has hurt UNI the most. A fair chunk of recruits from the Dakotas, western Iowa, Nebraska, and western Minnesota, who in the past might have chosen UNI have instead gone to NDSU, USD, SDSU, or UND. Especially linemen, as we have often gotten good players of that sort from that region in the past.

This is true...today but not 4 weeks ago. You beat a very banged up and bad football team today. congrats to USD but you are only the tallest midget right now...far from a juggernaut unfortunately for you. UNI may have 1 more win in them this season. I'll always be there and hoarse from yelling as always, but I don't like thinking about what I'm going to see in 2 weeks when the Penguins come calling.

I don't think so. I just think we were crushed mentally and more importantly physically at NDSU 3 weeks ago. Couple that with very mediocre coaching and we are looking at next year...again.

Im not giving USD any credit....sorry. This loss was the climax to years of bad play calling, and people's growing feeling that we may need to go another direction coaching wise. Any USD fan that thinks they came in and beat anything more than a drain circling, confidence shattered, horribly injured and underachieving team doesn't understand our expectation level as a program.
