KC NBC station just had a feature on Klein returning to KSU. Got the job due to a retirement.

Saw some video of a local newscast in Manhattan that said Klein would be named QB coach and co-offensive coordinator.

Hard to pass up that gig.

That puts him in line to be a candidate for the HC job within 5 years.

And if there's any program likely to hire from within, it's K-State.

Is that 4 or 5 assistant coaches just this year that elevated from UNI to a FBS program?
Dam that Farley can't recognize coaching talent and only hires people that have no promise of moving to bigger programs and higher pay.

Farley's coaching tree is getting bigger.

I heard Farley in an interview recently mention there are 13 or 14 coaches in FBS or NFL who coached at UNI during his tenure as Head Coach.

I also heard that the current Oregon DC has no buyout if he is hired as HC for KSU. Don't know if KSU would want him back, but anxious times for KSU fans and staff.

Did Klein really do anything on his own to stand out as QB coach during his year here? Or was he really just doing what Farley wanted done? I just don't remember us talking about him or his contribution much during the season.

Klein was NOT named co offensive coordinator. He was named QB coach.
