To me it's difficult anymore to truly know what we are getting out of a recruiting class. My one concern is that on paper we didn't address our need for more size. When UNI football was good to great we were really good and really big up front. The last couple of seasons neither of those have been true so to me that is an area that needs to be address if we are going to have success moving forward.

Would have hoped we could get some more experienced guys via JUCO and the Portal to fill needs in attempt to win games next year. I like the strategy of getting all these Iowa kids for sure, but most of them are going to take years to build to their potential.UNI FIGHT

We're not done. Lots of rides to use in the portal after spring ball.
Like that locking Iowa down appears to be a priority and this staff has a type. Long, athletic, projectable bodies that play up the very edge of dirty. Every highlight video has kids playing to the 2nd or 3rd whistle. A mean streak is something we'd kind of lost.#MACtion

I noticed a name familiar to me. Owen Ostroski from Tulsa OK. I met his father, Jerry Ostroski, at a fishing camp in Canada. Jerry was famous for playing all five offensive line positions with the Buffalo Bills in the Super Bowl er. Jerry's time in Buffalo coincided with Bryce Paup. I shook Jerry's hand at the fuel pump. He is a bit shorter than me but his hands are twice the size of mine. So, Owen comes from a good lineage. I wish him great success.

Victory for U-N-I!
Find out what the other team wants to do, then take it away from them.

I have seen a third from Tulsa noted as committed to UNI on this site (https://herosports.com/2025-fbs-to-fcs-transfers-bzbz/), Seth Bullock, LB, who played high school ball at Dubuque Senior and walked on at Tulsa.#MACtion
