No experience????
Viet is a 5th year senior who has seen action the last two years.
Josten is a 5th year senior who started every game last year.
Brown is a junior who has started on and off throughout his career and logged a lot of minutes.
Reed is a red shirt junior who played meaningful minutes in the Big 10.
Kwadso played a lot last year.
Our guards have experience.
Dunham and Lundberg are the only ones lacking experience and by Christmas time if and when Reed and Kwadso return neither of those young guys will log many minutes. IMO
Time will tell

Panthercrazy only wants to talk about Kerwin...he thankfully took last year off as KD was redshirting but remember this was the guy who came on here after KD's verbal to chastise us for not talking more about him in every. single. thread.
That's fine, support your friend. But like all great and fun endeavors, it must be done in moderation.
Reed's six weeks that was reported for an injury time puts him back at the beginning of December.
Kwadzo's three weeks would put him in line to be re-evaluated after next week. It's a toss up obviously right now whether he'll need surgery or not but let's hope for the best and that we get him back.
With that said I don't understand at all this 'sinking ship' mentality and over-exaggerated concern for our guards. Heaven forbid we don't have Reed and Joe against Northern Illinois, UMass, Cal Poly, UW-Milwaukee and South Dakota State. Toss up being the ISU game at the end of the month. Pretty sure Coleman and solid contributions from Koch and Jordan can carry us through those games to make up for the 'glaring lack of athleticism' that Josten and Brown have. Gimme a break...step away from the ledge people.

What, a one year break wasn't good enough "moderation" for all of you? I will talk up who i want."I can accept failure, but i can't accept not trying."-Micheal Jordan

The one year you took off was phenomenal believe me.
Moderation would be defined as you not thinking the entire UNI basketball team revolves around your boy. Feel free to talk up who you want...you have been doing it all over the place and no has tried to stop you. But please don't think the entire fortune of the season relies on KD's back. Don't call our team 'VERY inexperienced' (last post @ http://www.panthernation.com/showthread.php?t=14050 ) and disrespect the current team because you've just started paying attention and apparently fail to realize the contributions that the other players have made over the last few years.
You're a high school admirer, whatever that's cool. Problem is you've admitted you're still in high school which means you've been about 2 hours away from knowing and seeing anything relevant about this years players. I have no problem with you supporting the guy you bowed down to and worshipped when he was at B-F, I really don't. I really think he will become a good player here. But as long as you maintain the attitude that you currently have where the only factor affecting the success of this season is a 19(?) year old redshirt freshman with no college experience vs. the entire TEAM OF UNI PANTHERS THAT THIS SITE IS DEDICATED TO....you may want to just go over to www.kerwindunhamcanwintheMVCbyhimself.com and engage in some stirring conversation.Last edited by MarshallTucker; 11-08-2007, 01:31 AM.

I hope I'm not someone you're referring to. I apparently caused quite a stir last year when I joined and came on here talking about Brooks. I didn't mean to come off ragging on the guy, I was just discussing basketball.
On the other hand, in all fairness, it is difficult because this is a college team. These players are students who go to the same classes and attend the same functions and go to the same bars as other students and many of the fans on this board. Some fans love them and worship them and would never think they are capable of anything ungodly. That's fine, but some others aren't like that.
I can't help but think that some of the player-bashing that has happened in the past has been more "personal" than anything else. I know it's hard to believe for some of the "older" folk on this board (I'm speaking to no one in particular - more or less non-UNI students) but these players can at times relish in their semi-celebrity treatment on and off campus and that causes jealousy among others. It'd be nice to leave that off this board, but it is what it is. I guess you just have to take those posters with a grain of salt.Last edited by jman2004; 11-08-2007, 11:24 AM.

jman - I don't remember any names. I don't make mental notes of posters I disagree with and store them forever in the memory banks. Based on your post you don't sound like one of the people I'm talking about. There were some flat out Brooks haters.GO PANTHERS!

Consider it done Tucker.Originally posted by MarshallTucker View PostIt's under construction.
Hell I may even pay to have it built so there can be a better outlet for this kind of talk...just to keep it off of here.
I will actually build that website if Easton builds the one he said - that's hilarious!

Evidently some people on here don't agree. They would rather take a young, excited, up and coming Panther fan and bash him for 10 posts in a row.Originally posted by GonzoCat View PostI'd rather have a fan go overboard in singling out a player he likes than one who goes overboard in singling out a player he hates as we have had a few of with Brooks in the past.
What a great way to treat an over excited, somewhat misinformed Panther fan! In fact, I can't think of a better way to grow our fan base.
