The Valley has had some ugly road losses this year. Unfortunately we're probably looking at a 2 bid NCAA Tournament this season.

Right now, I think the Valley would be LUCKY to get two bids. A lot of people hatin' on the MVC this year predicting only one...

If two or three teams could separate themselves as being far better than the rest - that might help.

Unless one team runs away in the conference season (15-3 or better) AND wins the tourney, the Valley should get two bids. Not saying they will. The committee is just too unpredictable when not talking about the BcS conferences. A lot of season still left to play, duh, and we have no idea how other conferences will play out either.

SIU REALLY misses Tony Young and Jamal Tatum. They don't have that one guy that can create a shot whenever he wants to anymore. Also, both of those guys were lock down defenders as well. Mullins is good, but he's not a consistent scorer and can't create on his own. Falker is a stud, but can't carry a team offensively and Shaw is also a stud, but he needs a guy like Tatum to take the attention away from him.

I really think SIU will get better as they learn to adjust to life without Tatum and Young, but until then...they are vulnerable.

Wonderful, we don't get SIU until February. Just in time for them to put it all together.

I don't think we need to be singing Drake's praises so highly just yet. They beat a terrible Iowa State team at home and a bad Iowa team (PS- We beat Iowa if they don't shoot an incredible three point percentage).

I think Drake will avoid playing on Thursday in St. Louis, but I am not going to crown their a** just yet...

The way the non-conference part of our season has gone (and the rest of the Valley from the looks of it) we need a seperate regular season winner and conference tournament winner to get two bids. This conference does not look the best this year. It'll be competitive, but it doesn't sound like anyone's playing particularly good basketball.
