Just wondering if fans have got their tickets and motel rooms for the MVC Tourney? If not, start planning. We have our tickets reserved and our motel room booked.

Re: MVC Tourney
Planning on buying my tickets tomorrow to get the $15 discount. Have started looking at hotels but haven't booked anything. Want to stay at a different place this year than last year. I was wondering if it is worth it to spend extra to stay downtown? It seems like it is pretty easy to get to the arena, so staying anywhere seems to be OK. We stayed out by the airport last year. Rode the train down on Thursday, but drove in the other days because it was easy to get there. Anybody have thoughts on staying downtown?

Re: MVC Tourney
For sure! We got a King suite for $119/night. Staying with the team is the best! Not to mention all the cool fans stay thereOriginally posted by JCPanthers View PostI agree...we've been going for about 7 years and always enjoy staying at the same hotel as the team and other Panther fans.

Re: MVC Tourney
I got a room at the Crown Plaza (one block from the Mayfair and a way nicer hotel (I stayed at both last summer) with two queen beds and a pullout couch suite for $116 a night. I think (personally) that staying at the team hotel is a little overated.

Rumor is Jeg can't go to the Mayfair anymore because of an incident with one of the cleaning ladies and a can of whip cream.
So, take Jeg's advice with some precaution...stay at the Mayfair!
(Not to mention, the Crown Plaza is for Indiana State fans).

Re: MVC Tourney
Downtown St Louis is awesome. Go to LaClede's Landing area which has a lot of baras and restaurants. Big Bang is a dualing piano bar that is fantastic and there are a lot of clubs. Show Me's is a Hooters type that is a lot of fun. Excellent food and drink down there and a great time for all ages.

Re: MVC Tourney
You have to try to not have a good time in Downtown St. Louis, lets meet up, seriously. I will show you the time of your life. Who cares if the Crowne Plaza is where Indiana State is staying, I won't be checking in until Friday afternoon, the Tree's will be long checked out by my arrival.Illinois State Fan at a St. Louis White Castle 3:45AM Saturday March 6th:

Re: MVC Tourney
Got my tickets and am looking forward to the tournament this year. This might be a year where any one of 8 teams could win the tournament. Makes for alot of great games. After going last year, I'm turning into a big Valley fan and enjoy watching all Valley game. Of course, I'll want to see the Panthers take it all, and think they can be one of the teams that could take it all. But it sure looks wide open this year.
