    No Love From College Hoops Net

    Once again CHN is doing their top 144 in 144 days. Last year we came in at 76. This year, they are to 74 already, and I really don't think they are putting us on that list. I know losing Coleman sucks, but did our team get so much worse from last year to this year, that we're the 145th or poorer team in the nation?! I believe we're way better than that. Hopefully we can prove it.

    I have been looking at that as well everyday waiting for us to pop up. They have Illinois State at #82, but only at #5 for the MVC. So which 4 teams are ahead of them? I'm guessing Creighton, Southern Illinois, Drake, and then us. So maybe we are still to come. They already did Indiana State and Wichita State, and you have to think we would be higher than them wouldn't you?

      Top 4 will be BU, SIU, DU, CU. Not sure what order.

      Already listed are:
      WSU at #7 in the Valley, 134 overall
      ISU (blue) at #6 MVC, 110 overall
      ISU (red) at #5 MVC, 82 overall

      Leaves bottom trio of UNI, MSU, and UE.

      I'm fine with that. As long as we can avoid any more injuries, especially in the post, we will be able to sneak up on people.

        I think losing Coleman will definitely hurt us.

        But we'll learn how to survive with out him and I have a feeling we'll eventually be fine this season.

            Interesting how Drake can have 1 good season, lose their coach, lose Houston, Emmenaker and Korver, yet still be preseaon ranked in the top 4 by this poll.

                        I agree that seems Ridiculous , Maybe they have lost a step from previous years becuase CHN has a good track record with this 144 ranking they do every year.

                        One thing is for sure our program is no longer on the national radar screen.

                        Maybe with our new recuits we can rebound.

                          This team will be more consistent than last year's team...and that will be a good thing.

                              I agree. Josh Young is still there, but even despite him, I don't see Drake being half the team they were last season.

                              Korver and Emmenaker won many games for that team last season. It'll be interesting to see what happens to them now.
