Starting this year they have moved the 3 point line back a foot to 20'9." I think this was long overdue. College athletes are so much bigger, faster, and stronger than high school athletes and it makes sense to have their 3 point line at different distances. It should also help with spacing and open up the lane a little more, but time will tell.
The only other rule change that might effect anything is goaltending. Going off of my understanding anytime the ball touches the backboard it is considered on it's way down and if a player touches it then it will be called goaltending. This is supposed to help the officials with those calls.
Is there any other rule changes that will have an effect on the game that anyone else knows of?
From my understanding the majority of the new rules pertained to uniform, logos, and when they buzz the warning horn when a player fouls out.
