    Chicago State

Was reading through the UNI press release today. I didn't realize that Chicago State already played 3 games (2-1), and even put up 87 on Marquette!

    Their games are:
    St. Xavier (W 112-83)
    Marquette (L 106-87)
    Central Michigan (W 84-74)

FYI: Missouri State beat Central Michigan by 3. Chicago State played Thursday night, and won't play again until they play UNI Tuesday.

Texas Southern is 0-2 after losses at Cincinnati and UTEP (by 6). They last played Tuesday in Cincinnati.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

I watched their game vs. Marquette. They're not a bad team at all. Their point guard #3 David Holston can flat out stroke. He hit some ridiculous threes vs. Marquette, and I mean 5-6 feet beyond the three point line with a hand in his face ridiculous. In my opinion, hes a better player than Josh Mayo and we had a pretty tough time defending him. The rest of their team is pretty scrappy, but nobody else really stood out. I think the 87 points they put up is a little deceiving though. They hit some pretty lucky threes and Marquette really didn't have a lot of defensive intensity for most of the game because they were up double digits, but they are definitely a team we cannot take lightly. If we can contain Holston we have a real good shot at winning, if not it might get ugly.

They are athletic and like to get up and down. But their defense is probably the worst we will see all year. Terrible help defense and they gamble all over the place. But on offense they have some talent to get to the basket and hit a few outside shots. It will be a good test for us to see how disciplined we will be.
