    Great coaching tonight. We ran a set play in the first half where we passed the ball to the left corner, looking as though we were trying to get the ball inside. When that didn't materialize, the ball was swung back to the top where we had a double screen set up for Ali and he drained it. That was but one example of the staff putting together a solid plan.

    Also, Jordan had a great game. Points, boards, and blocks were all needed tonight. He was a matchup problem for them all night.
    TH1974: This guy was all-UNI, and wanted to show it by pretending to play a non-existant musical instrument in public.

      Damn I dont even know where to start. Almost brings a tear to my eye thinking about what these guys did.

      Great game by all of the guys, and great crowd that was into it from the start. JE had his best game that I have ever seen him play. Travis had a great last game. KA came ready to play again tonight.

      Shy Ely is a great player.

      Man, was that awesome to see us rush the court and cut down the nets in the McLeod! MVC CHAMPIONS!!!! holy crap

        When I left the nets were still hanging....I've never seen a team go thru and cut down parts of the net....only to leave the thing dangling on a couple of loops.

          I've also never seen kids mobbing the players after they cut down their piece of the net, only to beg the players for their piece of the net. What the heck?! Only at UNI...

            Even more incredible, the players were giving them to the kids. Some were even cutting their pieces into smaller bits to spread out to several kids.

            Kind of epitomizes this team. The cutting of the nets is supposed to be symbolic for the players to have a piece of the net for themselves as the bulk of the net usually goes with the trophy. But there is NOT ONE selfish player on this team. Even to the point of being willing to share their own piece of memory with the kids.

            Of course I doubt they'll share the rings or whatever else they might get.

                    This pretty much sums up everything I came here to say! Great crowd, it was really loud in there when they needed it in the closing minutes. Jordan was truly the Bellevue Beast tonight. Almost the entire team played pretty well. They didn't panic at all when Evansville made their run.

                    Ely is a stud, I've enjoyed watching him play for the last four years. He singlehandedly kept them in the game.

                    One trophy is in the case. Let's go get another one next weekend!

                      I'm just glad I turned off my radio when I did.
                      Was at work tonight, and was driving between jobsites at around 9 pm. When I turn on the radio, UNI is up by 21 pts, but then the lead dwindles to 6 pts. Yikes!

                      But.... a win is a win.
