Went to the PTL last night. I am impressed and a little depressed at the same time. I'm an Iowa fan, but man, is Jordan going to be a player or what???!!!! He is going to dominate your conference. He's not as athletic as Raef LaFrenz, but his hands, passing, rebounding and strength are better than Raef's when he was a junior. The kid is a beast. He just needs to get in better shape and look out. Ben was Ben, just a great kid and player. Santos and Little looked very good. Pedescleaux is a moose. UNI is going to be tough. I'm getting season tickets for the Panthers. Can't wait for the season to start!

thanks for the update
Hey thanks for the PTL update, keep them coming for those of us who can't make the PTL games. Ev sounds pretty promising and so does Jordan. I can't wait to see these guys in the purple and gold. Wow, can you imagine in two years those two guys just tearing up the MVC and Iowa and ISU.

This is indeed a very exciting time for UNI Men's Basketball... the state is slowly beginning to recognize the accomplishments of the third state school, and we are slowly working our way up to a level playing field with big bad Iowa and ISU. I say a third tournament appearance is not out of the question at all, and I will be there for all of it next year!

Here's a thought to ponder looking ahead to the future:
Senior Grant Stout and Junior Eric Coleman starting at the posts with 7'0" Egelseder and Pedescleaux off the bench. No MVC team can match that group inside.Comment

Actually, think about this. All-conference players Eric Coleman and Grant Stout starting...and 7'0" Jordan Eglseder, 6'10" Atila Santos (who just broke the bench press record for posts at UNI---heard this through the grapevine), 6'9" Jermain Raffington (top 5 German HS baller), and 6'5"/245lbs Everette Pedescleaux coming off the bench.
Can you say maybe the best post player corp. in the state? The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.Comment

Yes to Atila Santos who just broke the bench press record for posts at UNI!Comment

Nice. I hope this means he gets a little more aggressive under the boards.
Did anyone see Jordan Egsleder's comments in the Gazette? They mentioned that he was being lured by the likes of Michigan State, Wisconsin and Michigan, and he says something to the effect of "I'm pretty sure I'm going to UNI. Actually, that's a guarantee. I didn't mean to say that." Here's to Jordan Egsleder tearing it up in years to come!
