  • Thought, what effects will the age limit with the NBA have on UNI basketball

I think the college game may see a little lose in the parity that we saw this year in the NCAA tournament. It was sure exciting seeing 16 seeds playing within 20 of the big boys. I think that this will be the biggest area that you may see a difference in, the games may go back to about 20 point or more games. I also see the teams like Duke, NC, Kansas taking a lot of the big players that would have went to the NBA and then those players leaving after 2 years or so. This could push the players the big boys normally get down to the rest of the major conference teams. And then some of the players they would've taken get pushed down the the mid majors. I really don't see much change in the parity of the mid-majors on up, but after them i think the talent pool gets to spread out the rest of the teams stay about where they currently are at. That's what i think, just wondering what others thought.

Lets just keep hoping seniors can out perform stud sophmores and give the mid majors a good chance against some of the big boys.

What you said is exactly right. The UNI's of the world will continue to have veteran players who when matched up against some of the "majors" will have underclassment playing against the veteran "mid-majors". With that said, there will still only be about 10 or so kids affected each year. And because of that the difference will be minimal. About 10 kids will stay each year and go to college that may have gone to the pros. That bumps 10 kids or so down to the "mid-major" level that may not have gotten them. And we all know the difference b/t "major" talent and "mid-major" talent isn't that great, especially considering how great of a coach we have.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.
