Not going to lie. I am super excited right now. My wife and I just booked our flight and hotel for the Virgin Islands yesterday. Go down and watch UNI play some good basketball teams and then go hang out on the beach. It is a win/win.

Looking at alternatives, such as flying from Des Moines, Minneapolis or Kansas City. Where are you flying from and connecting through? Which is the team hotel and are you staying there? Thanks for the info.

i also admit that i am already super jacked for this tournament. i cant be there in person but its a great opportunity for what could be our best ever team.

Yeah...any travel info would be helpful. What are flights running, hotels, etc. etc.

Also, will this conflict with a possible fb playoff game?

Should be the same weekend as last regular season FB game which I believe is at Illinois St.

The team is staying at the Frenchman's Reef. If you try to book online the website indicates that there is no vacancy. However if you book through a travel agent there are flight/hotel packages available. These are separate from the travel packages put together for the tournament:

Our family is flying out of Chicago with roundtrip flights around $300/person. It would be great to see a bunch of Panther fans in St Thomas!

JagsNCats is correct in where the team is staying. From what the travel agent told us that hotel is one of the best on the island. We are leaving Wed. Nov. 18 out of Des Moines to Chicago to St. Thomas and will be coming back the following Tues.

Everything that we looked into, it was cheaper to fly out of Chicago but I wasn't sold on having to drive end of November, won't know what the weather is going to be like.

The other great thing about that weekend is that we won't have to miss any home games as UNI plays their last game on the road at Normal. If there are any other questions, please ask or feel free to PM me.

This trip isn't for another 6 months, but I can't wait for it to get here.
