    Gruber's progress

HOME - Frankston & District Basketball Association

    New Blues Import Arrives

Rugged University of Northern Iowa forward David Gruber has linked with the Frankston Cambur Blues for the remainder of the SEABL season.

Gruber led the UNI Panthers to one of the school's most successful seasons ever, culminating in victry in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament and a berth in the prestigious NCAA tournament.

The 201 centimetre forward made his debut with the Blues on Satuday night, contributing 24 points and 15 rebounds in Frankston's important 11 point win at Albury.

Coming off the bench, Gruber played a key role in the Blues' second win and prove to be a great foil for veteran skipper Rhys Newsome.

As well as his playing commitments with the club, David will also be actively involved in school basketball clinics.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

    Nester,

Gruber is only 6'7, right? If so, then he's not even as big as Octav was. It's pretty amazing what he's accomplished given his size.
