Nice article on Big Jordan and his trip to the prestigious Pete Newell Big Man Camp.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

I hope they taught him how to dunk from underneath the basket and to hold on to the ball.

I don't know Jordan at all. (nor do I know much about basketball)

But sometimes the scene pops into my head from the movie "Mystery, Alaska",
where the veteran captain (Russell Crowe) is trying to get the big guy on the team (Kevin Durand) to play more like a big guy should, more physically. 'Course, that was a hockey setting, not basketball.

          But I digress.

Paul Miller went to Pete Newell's camp before his senior season. It obviously did some good for him as that was the sweet 16 year and he was the primary reason for the success that year. No one really remembers Paul much before his senior season.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him really start to come on if he picked anything at all up from the camp and works hard.

Another Valley member who went to Pete Newell Camp prior to his last season in college....Pat O'Bryant (I'm pretty sure).

For a second, I thought it was Griff name-dropping, but then I remembered, I'm griff and I know nothing.

I see on the roster that he is listed as down to 280 lbs and only at 7' even.
