Is any rating in sports really scientific?Originally posted by TravelingPanther View PostInteresting. He should be moving up after the last 2 games he had.
Not sure how scientific this is."They keep saying that what really matters is not whether you win or lose, but how you played the game. The trouble is that the best way to determine how you played the game is by whether you won or lost." - Anonymous

No. I guess a better way to put it would be that their criteria is not very clear.Originally posted by Big Cats View PostIs any rating in sports really scientific?

Re: Jordan 24th best center
OK, I'll give you that much. Is this one man's opinion, and is it based strictly on the stats put up by each player? When judging any player in any sport, things other than raw data have to be considered. For example, value to the team, leadership, teamwork, coachability to name just a few off the top of my head. I question whether some of the guys listed at 6'8" and 6'7" who are ahead of Jordan are really better than he is. Doubtful that the writer(s) of this ranking have really seen all 25 of these guys.Originally posted by TravelingPanther View PostNo. I guess a better way to put it would be that their criteria is not very clear.
