PS, if Drake holds on and we take care of business in Wichita Tuesday we take a 3 game lead over the second place team with all current tie breakers.

Drake shoots about 35 threes in a game. If they hit those shots against us, they can beat us yet again.

If not, we win by 30.

Wow. Redbirds didn't expect that at all. Stepped up the D in the 2nd half and put some pressure on Drake. Weird officiating, Wiesler gets knocked down, no call and Van Deest gets called for fouling air.

If UNI plays tough man to man from the start, they should beat Drake. Similar to UNI, Drake has many who can hit a 3. After WSU hosts UNI, they come to Des Moines. Important week for the Shockers after the loss at CU.

Agreed. I can not root for them, ever. Just like I could never root for NDSU in football. Just can't do it. I could care less how many bids the Valley gets as long as we are one of them.

Too bad Drake waited so long to get their act together. They are not doing the conference any favors right now. They have some losses this year that would probably rank as the worst losses by a MVC team in several years. Given how they always give us trouble every year, they will probably catch us at least once this year and pin a loss on us.

I don't think I can ever root for WSU.

I know, it absolutely rips me apart to do it, but these are tough times where $$ reigns over my hatred for WSU. I look at it as UNI "using" WSU for their money (by getting into the NCAA tourney). Plus, it is better in the long run for the MVC to again be a multiple bid league. I'll just have to hold my nose as I wish them well this year (except for 2 games, of course).
