Let's say UNI wins the rest of the regular season games except ODU and wins the MVC tournement. What kind of NCAA seeding are they likely to get??

Some of you basketball gurus can weigh in on this one.

5 maybe? Hard to say because of the random loss.

I rolled 2d8 and ended up with 9.

So I'll say we'd get a 9 seed in that situation.

in the above situation, a 6 or 7 is likely. IMO the committee would site our lack of a "signature win" and BB home loss as reason to keep us out of a 5 seed.

In that situation a 5/6. We'd be ranked between #10-20.

Keep in mind conference tournaments play a factor. NCAA likes hot teams.

In that situation they will be a 6 seed but if they win out including ODU then I have to say a 4

Siena who had their RPI drop to 46 at the start of today had a big win at home tonight over Iona, the only team in the MAAC with an RPI in the Top 100 besides Siena.

The win has bumped Siena all the way up to 30 today on Saturday. However, they still have a home game against Marist who is at 336. It was the game against Marist this week that was most of why we saw Siena drop so much in RPI.

Old Dominion is at 36 this morning.

If we only lose to Old Dominion we should be top 15. Not sure why everyone thinks that translates to a 6 seed or lower. That would be two more weeks in the Top 25, then split with CU and ODU, which shouldn't knock us out, then win out 3-4 more weeks?

                    TP-

Butler was a 7 seed with winning 13 of their last 14, and was 30-4. That could be why projections are all over the board when it comes to seeding.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.
