I love the Gazette

We finally made the first page in the sports section on Sunday (even above the fold!) for a LOSS.

A week ago we were in our typical position on the second page with a small article written by the Waterloo guy for a game won. The Hawkeyes were on the fromt of the section - even though they did not have a game Saturday. Maybe I should be happy that us losing is big news, but it still ticks me off. I take it as a lack of respect.

I've given up on them long ago. Don't expect fair and balanced reporting. Beating Drake on a Wednesday...couldn't even find it online with the Gazette. Lose on a Saturday-front page.

My wife got up before me last Sunday morning and was reading the paper when I got up. My first comment was "Did we make the front page?" and her answer was yes. Thankfully it was only the front page of the sports section. I was refering to the front page of the whole paper!
