Wouldnt a 30-5 final record also be win out the MVC and lose in the Sweet 16in the Midwest Regional in St. Louis?

It's amazing that it took that long for them to finally label UNI as a lock...but I guess the Evansville loss wasn't helping our case.

we are also a 9 seed as of yesterday in the bracketology playing clemson first round, and if won, kentucky in the second.

only nice thing is the games would be in milwaukee, which would be awesome.

Anyone hear Hubert Davis on gameday today? I caught it late, but it sounded like he was cracking on the "Northern Iowa-type" schools when discussing expanding the field to 96. I didn't really catch the conversation in whole and only perked up when I heard Northern Iowa, so looking for some help on this one.

Anyone hear Hubert Davis on gameday today? I caught it late, but it sounded like he was cracking on the "Northern Iowa-type" schools when discussing expanding the field to 96. I didn't really catch the conversation in whole and only perked up when I heard Northern Iowa, so looking for some help on this one.

Davis does say some stupid things from time to time, but today he was talking about how if hypothetically the field was expanded to 96 teams that our first-round matchup would be against Stony Brook. I think somewhere Lunardi did do a 96-team bracket and that was our first round opponent.

He did mention us, but it wasn't using our name as a pejorative. Rather, it was just an argument against expanding the field (and keeping the field at 65 is something I'm totally in favor of).

He has a problem with mid-majors. He's also made digs at BYU and the Mountain West in the past. Probably hasn't gotten over UNC's loss to the College of Charleston yet.
