Great read out of St. Louis
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.Tags: None

Go to the KU fan website and you read similar comments although one poster claims UNI only played one Top 50 team.
KU fans think they were jobbed by the Selection Committee."Lot of people talked about Ohio State or Georgetown or Michigan State or whoever, [or] Maryland in our bracket. When the brackets came out, the first team I looked at was Northern Iowa," Kansas Coach Bill Self.

...and being a 9th seed with our record is not being screwed? Give me a break... I'd much rather be in ODU's position or Siena's right now... but as always, we will make due with what we got.Originally posted by DWadle1983 View PostKU fans think they were jobbed by the Selection Committee.
Raised a Hawkeye, Panther by choice.

Their complaint is that their regional is being considered the toughest. They thought as the Number 1 overall seed they deserved better, and I can see their point.Originally posted by casbern View Post...and being a 9th seed with our record is not being screwed? A number of teams should be questioning the seeding process and as I said on another thread Temple is one of them just like UNI.
Jordan Eglseder C, Northern Iowa
Eglseder punishes teams in the paint for this Northern Iowa Panther team. He averages 12 ppg and 7.3 rpg. Expect a double-double out of him when they play UNLV in the first round. UNLV's smaller lineup plays right into Eglseder's hands.

5. Northern Iowa has Sweet 16 written all over it. Oops. The Mutton Chop boys would have to face Kansas in the second round? Nice season, lads.
Please pick up a home version of our game on the way out. Tough draw for UNI. Hmmm. But didn't KU lose to Bradley once upon a time? If anyone can handle Mr. Aldrich, it's the Mutton Chops. If UNI gets past Vegas, that second-round match will be must-see TV.
Cinderella Story – Northern Iowa (9)
The Panthers have a tough 8-9 draw with UNLV in the first round before a potential match-up with No. 1 Kansas. Regardless, Northern Iowa is built for a Tournament run. With three seniors — center Jordan Eglseder, forward Adam Koch and guard Ali Farokhmanesh — leading the way, the Panthers hope to use their deliberate pace and fundamental style of play to keep it close, where their free throw shooting (75.4 percent as a team) and basketball IQ will make them a tough out.Since the 2008 NCAA Tournament, when Davidson and Steph Curry were two points away from the Final Four, March Madness has been missing the next Cinderella to wear that glass slipper...
Northern Iowa(28-4) Conference:MVC *9 seed in the Midwest
* Although Northern Iowa never played a top 25 team, they took care of the teams that they were supposed to beat for the most part and were ranked in the top 25 themselves for part of the season. They looked strong in their conference final against 2nd place Wichita State winning by 15. Look for the Panthers to beat UNLV and give Kansas trouble. The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
