Just throwing this out there and I'm sure most of you already know but msu was up 9 at half and blew a 16 point lead once Lucus went down...izzo scares the hell out of me though...uni by 5

They shot the three ball real well at 55.6. There fg% was 55.2....hopefully that doesn't happen against us

I doubt UNI is going to leave Durrell Summers wide open for 3's. MSU isn't nearly the 3-point shooting team you saw against Maryland.

Izzo won't be playing tonight. He's the best tournament coach in the last 15 years, but that only helps the team get ready. All I know is that the players Michigan State has left are plenty good enough to pound the Panthers down low. Size won't be an advantage for UNI like everyone says--the Spartans have too much bulk even though they aren't as tall.
That being said, the key to the game will be UNI's guards. Can Ali stay on his high and continue to knock down big shots? Can we get ANYTHING offensively from Kwadzo? Will Johnny, Kerwin, Marc and AJ give us some good minutes on both ends? If UNI's guards come up big, then I like the Panthers' chances.
No pick from me, but it will be a very close game in the 50's or low 60's.

Jacobson's team hasn't been this well scouted all year. UNI is no bunch of slouches that got lucky. You don't win your conference, conference tournament and 30 games by being lucky. I just think every team gets one tournament game where they can surprise and UNI did that beating Kansas. In the Sweet 16 those surprises are all gone

MSU has better overall team speed
Guard play is equal without Lucas especially if Allen can get 15-20 minutes.
MSU has a better group of forwards
UNI advantage in the post

MSU will make the UNI's 5's run more than they have all season
MSU will run offensive sets that force the UNI 3 point shooters to wear out their legs on defense. Something Kansas refused to do.
MSU will score at least 10 points after UNI made baskets via fast break
UNI will abandon the offensive boards in order to allow time for their 5's to get back on defense.

Been a great run, got your AD the push to sign Jacobson to a long term deal. But I think the magic ride ends tonight.

I don't see UNI's shooters' legs tiring. Nobody plays that many minutes. We will either be on or off, it won't be fatigue.

Another statement that made sense pregame, but they did seem to tire. Had to fight hard to get an open look.
