  • Well....

if we had to lose to anyone, I'm personally glad that we lost to an eventual Final Four team.

Great game between Michigan State and Tennessee....I wish we had been in there to play Tennessee, but if nothing else we held our own against one of the best programs and coaches in the business.

Is this the second or third time the Panthers lost to an eventual Final Four team? Ga Tech, G-town and Mich State.

they pulled two upsets (seeding-wise), one minor, one MAJOR. But came up short on a third upset.

      I can't complain about that.

I don't think that G-Town team made the Final Four that year, but later on.

you realize Michigan State got a huge break in first round against NM State in getting that lane violation....who knows what might have happened

GTown did not make the FF the year they knocked us out but I do believe they upset OSU (the 2 seed) and made the sweet 16. UW got the the elite 8 the year we played them too.

I still think had we gone inside to JE more in the 2nd half we woulda beaten Sparty. Maybe not UT but shoulda won Friday.

I think just the 2nd one that has made the Final Four. But in all six appearances, the team that has beaten UNI has won at least one more game after the UNI game.

I was going for Tenn myself. Dude with the fro-hawk that looked like the Miz and acted like an absolute jackass the entire game made me not like Sparty even more. I love the Spartan mascot but some fans rubbed me the wrong way (imagine that).

We just don't want to play a Big Ten team when we get to the tournament we are 0-4, but we like playing the Big 12 as we are 2-0, also 1-0 for the Mountain West and 0-1 against the ACC and Big East.
Coach Whisenhunt 1/18/09. "There was never any complaints about not being named the starter, all he wanted was an opportunity and he took advantage of it. Kurt is probably one of the greatest individuals you'll ever meet. Kurt worked hard on a lot of things that a lot of times older quarterbacks aren't willing to do. That's a credit to his humility and his competitive drive, and the reason that we are here today in great part is what Kurt Warner has done for us."
