Does anyone have any clue whatsoever as to which hotel will be UNI's hotel in St. Louis next March in the Loo?

Re: Arch Madness 2011
I'm not 100% sure but I thought at last year's Arch Madness I heard TD say that we'll be at the Lumiere again. It's worked two years in a row, why ruin a good thing? Don't make your reservations yet Jeg based on my recollection. We tipped a few each night in celebration of our wins and that may have clouded my memory!

Re: Arch Madness 2011
I think Jags is correct. Has anyone found any good hotel deals online? I do a quick hotwire search every couple weeks, but most downtown hotels are listed at $120/night. I got the Hilton last year for $70/night and was very pleased with the location and quality. Seems like December-January is the best time to look.
It's never too early to start planning for Arch Madness!!!

Re: Arch Madness 2011
Someone can double-check my dates, but Arch Madness is on the same weekend as Mardi Gras in St. Louis....and STL has a pretty big Mardi Gras party every year in the Soulard neighborhood (especially that Saturday Night). Arch Madness and Mardi Gras only fall on the same once every 10-11 years
So you may want to get those hotels rooms early after all!

Re: Arch Madness 2011
I'm guessing he is referring to the tournament style of play where you can watch your team play 3-4 times in one weekend.

I was meaning more along the lines that I know that UNI will play a post season tournament in St. Louis on March 4th - 6th. I don't have that set date in football to plan a yearly vacation around.Illinois State Fan at a St. Louis White Castle 3:45AM Saturday March 6th:

Re: Arch Madness 2011
The hotel you are seeing for that weekend is actually probably the Holiday Inn Downtown. We have stayed there before, unfortunately it has the same ammenities as the Millenium. The Millenium on Hotwire will automatically put you in a club tower room with one queen bed. If you have a chic with you thats a good deal, if not, it might not be for you. If you book it, and get the Holiday Inn, please call and see what kind of room you have been put in and share with us on here.Originally posted by Kyle View PostThree star hotel in downtown for $49/night for 3/4-3/6. It's probably the millennium, but I'm not sure.

Check out this site for a lot of help with Hotwire / Priceline.

Re: Arch Madness 2011
I got the Holiday Inn last year when I booked on priceline. Got 2 double beds. It's really a decent place with a good breakfast buffet. They had a concierge desk to help the basketball fans find what they were looking for in St Loo. It's about a 6 block walk from the light rail station at 8th and Pine though."They keep saying that what really matters is not whether you win or lose, but how you played the game. The trouble is that the best way to determine how you played the game is by whether you won or lost." - Anonymous
