          Re: Bracketbuster Game

In order to even out the schedules, they decided to take a year off of the rotation for the return BB game and move it to 2011-12, so UNI will play at ODU next year. They did this so that teams wouldn't have to play 2 home games or 2 road games each year as part of the BB agreement, but rather get to 1 home/1 away game annually.

UNI did switch in this 'format change', as they and I believe a few other select schools will remain home teams this year, while the majority of last year's home teams now become road teams in February. UNI will get a home game this year, followed by 3 road games next year I believe (ODU, return game from this February, and a new game in February 2012).
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice, clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him, and consumes his foes on every side; His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles; the mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness and all peoples will see His glory.

But then in Dec. 2012 we would get a return home game & Feb. 2013 a new home game. This (+3 road games next year) still doesn't look balanced.

I believe it will be unbalanced for the next year or two, but once the return game from last season is made and the games go back to being returned the season after it will be back to normal.

For most teams not named UNI, it will be balanced, as next year they will have a return game from 2010, 2011, and a new game in 2012. Then, in 2012-13, there will be a home game and a road game each year. UNI will continue to play an unbalanced schedule with it being either home games or road games each year. They will switch groups though, and hopefully get better matchups for BB in return.

The BB changes won't change UNI's unbalanced schedule, but that's ok, b/c UNI will get a home game this year and switch to a new group of teams that will hopefully provide more competitive matchups. Sorry for the confusion from my first post.

                  Re: Bracketbuster Game

I thought I had heard that they did the post-poned date from last year to allow for a switch this year, but that they also have made that option more permanent. As in, the return game will have to be made up in either of the next two seasons, but not necessarily the immediate next season. Seems there were issues with teams being able to find common dates the next season-in addition to the two-home, two away issues. It was meant to allow more flexibility for fututre scheduling.
