With basketball sesason upon us here's some questions for us to all ponder about the season
1. Game you're most looking forward to against a team WITHOUT Iowa in their name (thats just too easy).

1. Creighton and WSU tie for me
2. Im most excited to Mike Williams
3. I am most worried about Drake, they always knock off a big team they have no business beating and that could be bad for us come March.
4. (edit I thought it said MAKE not TAKE) at least 400
5. Bradley is a scary team, my pick as the sleeper
6. Ben MVP, E Crawford 1st team All MVC/Defender of the year, Mike Williams New Comer of the year, and Stout E. Coleman and J Litt on all conference so at least 6 guys.
7. 4 for sure, until Spring then we'll see
8. The unique atmosphere and the confused look on peoples faces about playing hoops on a football field.
9. The group of guys and the coaches and how well they all work together and get along. Its a true team with great potential.
10. Nothing at all worries me about this team, they have a will to find a way around obstacles.
11. As far as they have the heart to go, or at least Sweet 16 in my mind

1. Creighton: 2 sisters and a ton of family are Creighton alums. Always good to have a leg up on them

3. Drake: they always step it us against us. Gotta beat them in Des Moines in my back yard to show we are here to stay. Plus if you want to be the best, you need to win the games you're supposed to.

(my dad is a huge cyclone fan and he lives in eastern iowa. everyone asked him why he wasnt rubbing the isu victory over iowa in their faces and that' exactly what he said. "you're supposed to beat inferior teams."

1. I'm so sick and tired of loosing to Creighton in heart breaking fashion
2. Mike Williams for impact this year. Travis Brown for the future

5. Bradley (they are way underrated) and, I hate to say it, Drake. They always seem to be a different team when they play us, especially at the Knapp. I'm so sick of us making them look good, because they are not.
6. Ben-MVP, Stout 1st team IF two forwards, Crawford 2nd team and defensive POY, and Coleman 2nd team or HM, depending again on how many f/c's they put on each team. Mac coach of the year for what should be the 3rd straight year (Painter I could swallow, but Lawry, that was just stupid)
7. NCAA Tourny is all I can swing this year given my locale
8. Coaches complaining about it. Otherwise, hello MAC!
9. The chance to be a national player.
10. Frontcourt depth and playing on the road

12. My inflated cell phone bill from harassing Iowa fans. I hate to think how much I'll spend when we go deep into March. My record currently is after breaking SIU's winning streak. I think I bought everyone at Peppers at least two beers that night (well, my Dad's credit card did ).

8. What will you miss about the Dome? The uniqueness to that venue. You know when a team comes in, no other place in the country is anything like it.
9. What most excites you about this team? There is virtually unlimited potential.
10. What most worries you about this team? Depth
11. How far will the Panthers go into March? I think a minimum goal should be the round of 32, best case...if we get hot? Elite 8. Yea, I said it.
12. How much money will you spend "celebrating" beating Iowa? I expect to beat Iowa. The prospect doesn't get me riled up, that's a "W" on my schedule.

Looking ahead....2nd round matchup in the NCAA Tourney with Indiana and a shot at the Sweet 16 on the line.

Regular season, a win over Southern Illinois in Carbondale to win the regular season title.

2. Newcommer you're most excited about.

Mike Williams will be fun to watch. I'm excited about the future of Mason Stewert even though he is redshirting this season.

3. Opponent you're most worried about
I have a feeling Missouri State could have a strong full season this year. Wichita followed by Springfield back to back early in the season could go a long way in determining the title.

593 last season, I'll go with a little less than last season, 550.

As mentioned earlier Missouri State along with Bradley.

1st team, Crawford and Jacobson, 2nd team for Stout.

I'm heading to Ames but I'll be doing an internship in Madison during the 2nd semester, so I won't make many games.

Excuses from opposing coaches.

9. What most excites you about this team?
Experience, depth and most of all a hunger to go further than ever before in UNI history.

10. What most worries you about this team?
Inside depth, injury to Crawford.

11. How far will the Panthers go into March?
Sweet 16

Whatever is in the bank account.

SIU at Carbondale - Time for UNI to end the streak....

Williams - Good change of pace at the guard spot. I think the mixture of Brooks and Williams will be one of the top point tandums in the league.

LSU or the bracket buster opponent. National exposure and we'll need to step up...

Part of me wants to say Bradley as they always seem to give us fits at their place but I'm going with MSU as their physical play seems to give us problems every year.

8. What will you miss about the Dome? the home court advantage of playing on a football field and the last couple years for big games watching the fans file in.
9. What most excites you about this team? We have vetern leadership at all positions that can get the job done
10. What most worries you about this team? Our depth esp. the Big men
11. How far will the Panthers go into March? Sweet 16, anything extra is a bonus

2. Newcommer you're most excited about. Mike Williams. Anyone who can pressure the ball and have the quickness and skill to handle the press that Drake and Creighton will throw at them will be a huge part of the team.

The only game i am looking forward too is UNI at ISU. If we win this one, we are set for a big season, if ISU lays the smack to us, then we will end up like iowa's football team, highly ranked and drop in hurry. This will set our standard for the season, its a big game and if we screw up and get killed, kiss out chances of winning the MVC down the drain. The newcomer is going to be that juco, he is quick and a good deffensive of player. The team i am most scared about is Drake, they are tough and can play with anyone. We should make the NCAA, but an early exit, sorry we just don't play good under pressure.
