Women's BBall Getting Votes...

I know this is the Men's basketball forum, but it doesn't seem anyone checks the women's sports forum and I thought this was pretty big news for our girls! I saw they got a vote to be ranked this past week! Does anyone know the last time this has happened? They are playing great! Wish we could play Iowa and Iowa State at this point in our season and see how the girls do.

Congrats to the Women's program. They do deserve more accolades then they get. Just goes to prove that UNI has a great athletic program overall. Hoping the UNI women get into the NCAA's again this year!

even at 18-5, their RPI is still around 55-60, so winning the tournament is their only hope for the NCAAs. Their SOS is not good.

They have 6 games left and will be favored heavily in 5 of them, the only tricky game is Illinois State, which is at home. So you are looking at 24-5 or 23-6 going into St. Charles. We get one win down there for sure. So that is 25 wins. I don't see this team not making the tourney.

Tell that to Illinois State who was 24-6 last year and didn't get in. Who also got 1 win in St. Charles at 23-5... and they went on to win the the womens NIT....talk about a snub

Agreed. There hasn't been an at-large from this conference not named Drake or MSU since 1994 (and none since '02). We dont have the resume.

While I do think that there is even a bigger Big 6 Bias in womens basketball, I think that Illinois State's experience last year should help us this year.

I don't really think that having separate forums would really increase discussion.
Though I don't see how it would hurt anything either.

Wouldn't affect me personally much either way, as usually I just browse a list of all new/unread posts, as opposed to viewing each forum.

Not a bad idea. I'd be willing to do it if I was convinced that it would generate some conversation especially if we can get some kind of multi-member rotation going we could have some kind of rotation going..
