    Re: Crawford?

I've been hearing around here that its as close to being "official" as it can be without actually being "official". Looks like we're getting a little payback. Stealing CU's Dir. of Ops. (and a fellow Panther) as revenge for stealing a Freshman-AA, 6'7 210lb post-player who averages 15pts and 7 rebs from us last year....

He wouldn't play 30 mins a game, thats for sure but it would beat the heck out of the production we got from Pehl (and Rank to an extent, but you can't hate on Chip) once O'Rear went down. Let's not get into another debate about McDermott though. Its done with

We have three more years, and up to 9 more games against him....it's not "easy to let it go"....especially considering what happened with our post game last season and the season Doug had.

Nice. Does anyone know what his specific role(s) will be? Working with the perimeter players? Recruiting? A bit of both with some additional duties thrown in?

Considering he played all 5 positions at different times for us, I think he can pretty much work with whatever Jake wants him to in practice. Coach Green worked with the posts, I would assume we will need someone on staff taking on those. With as many inside/outside post threats that we have, Erik may just be the guy for the talent we have.

Don't know what he has for recruiting ties, I would assume something with the twin cities/MN area, which has been good to us. He won't have to be a big recruiter early, so he has some time to develop.

saw this on the WCF Courier...is that a Atila Santos sighting in the background?

I'm glad he's back.. although, I hope he can make a valuable coaching/recruiting contribution. Then again, I don't think Coach Jake would have brought him on if he thought other wise.
