That was quite a game between 2 teams performing at a high-level. It's unfortunate that the refs dictated the game down the stretch, but it was still an impressive all-around college basketball game. For those of you you who were able to make it out, I hope you enjoyed the atmosphere and environment. Hopefully it translated well over TV as well.

Your press break was one of the best against VCU's pressure all year. Your freshman point was very good, between him and Tuttle you have a nice nucleus to build around the next couple of years. I was very impressed with the Panthers and hope you can turn things around and make some noise in the Valley for the remainder of the season.

VCU is a good team, and fun to watch. You would think that a team that presses that much would get burned, but VCU does an impressive job. Good luck to the Rams in the CAA tourney, could be a dangerous team again if they get into the NCAA tournament.

You guys definitely have a good team. A fair amount of the game looked like a fire works display with both teams lighting it up from three. i saw about 15 UNI fans who made the trip down. I guess that must have been like a 20 hour trip so I take my hat off to them. Hopefully once this bracket buster series is down VCU can may be get a home and home series going with UNI.

I just hope they aren't intimidated by the 2500 people that show up to the McLeod Center for the return game in a couple years.

I was really, really impressed with their atmosphere. We have a similar sized building and SHOULD have similar crowds.

VCU (and the CAA) are a very talented group this season. Just wish more than the fans from our two conferences noticed on a consistent basis.

I thought their building held 17,000+. That's a lot bigger than the McLeod.

No, it holds about 7K. Almost identical, capacity-wise.

Mcleod looks like it is definitely the nicer arena though. Theirs has more of a "gym" look to it.

The capacity is 7,617 at the Siegel Center.

It certainly doesn't impress most as far as aesthetics and comfort go, but it does lend to producing a fantastic, raucous, college atmosphere, the best in the CAA in my humble and biased opinion. I think a lot of CAA fans would agree with that however.

If you're looking for a beautiful arena, our rivals at ODU have a mid-major arena that is second to none for the level and size they are at (8,500 or so). I'm sure if any of you made the trip down for your game with them early this season you can vouch for that. It's a NBA arena without the cheap seats.

EDIT: I share the sentiment that we should have a MVC-CAA challenge. That would be awesome!
