  • Inside Access?

First off, the wife and I just had our first child. Her water broke at the Briar Cliff exhibition, so he's not only a panther fan already, he's desperate to get to a game ;-)

However, with that, we won't be able to attend as many games as we have in the past. I'm looking at ordering the Panther Inside Access for this season, to watch the games we can't attend. And wanted to ask you guys, if anyone subscribes to this, how the quality is?

Is it reliable? Good quality video? Audio? Is EVERY game on there? What are your problems with it? Do you recommend it over just trying to catch games that happen to be on cable?

Any feedback is helpful. Thanks guys.

I think I can speak for everyone here when I say congrats on your first born! I hear it's a moment/day you'll never forget!

      Re: Inside Access?

      Congrats!

The inside access is OK, its certainly better than radio or nothing at all. The video quality is not great, but its acceptable. The audio is Gary Rima, and the two are usually in tune and on the same speed. You don't get every game...you only get video for HOME games and only audio for away.

The quality of production isn't good enough or bad enough to persuade you to go either way. Take a look at the schedule and how many of the home games are available on TV in your market and how many aren't, and decide if the amount of money justifies that difference. (Also, ask if you get the radio in your market). Where I live, I'm only going to get the ESPN games on tv and will get none of them on the radio so it was not a very difficult decision.

It is like watching game film while listening to Gary

One camera angle (up high) for the most part, no replays, and hopefully the correct score. That's about it. For BB, you also get a foul count and sometimes a relatively correct representation of time left.

Congrats Z. Nothing like raising your kid as a Panther. Raising them to be anything else is child abuse.

For the exibihition games they had a game clock and a shot clock. For football they didn't even have a game clock, we'll see what happens when the season starts.

                  Re: Inside Access?

Can you watch the games on replay with inside access? For example if I don't get home until 10:00, can I watch it later?

                  Congrats on the baby!

If you get it, purchase the 4 month plan. Also, be sure to watch out for the automatic renewal. You don't want to be stuck having to pay for access to watch Panther sports after the month of February (everything in March will be televised).
