Wichita

[jnutt]

Anyone going down for the game? I've decided to make the journey down. Any advice on where to stay and where NOT to stay? Jegbomb, you seem to be good at this. Anyone else got any thoughts....here's what I'm looking at. I was going to Use the Name your own price but that can be good/horrible. Got a steal in Madison but got screwed in St. Louis.

Re: Wichita

My family and I are contemplating making the trip down. Haven't decided one way or the other yet. If we do go we would drive down, go to the game, and drive back home right after. Could be a looooooooong 15 hour round-trip

That is a long trip, JT most Hampton Inns are good, never stayed at a bad one.

Re: Wichita

My wife and I are considering going down. I've stayed at Wichita Inn by airport previously and they are good. Nothing but good to say. Most times I stay at Best Western Wichita North but that's because I go there for another organization. Hampton Inns are always good.
If I go I'll try to go to Scotch and Sirloin.

Re: Wichita

The Marriott in Wichita is a very nice hotel. It is, however, an absolutely brutal drive.

Re: Wichita

After all the times I have seen that clip, I never noticed the cheerleader under the bucket going down like he'd been shot...

Re: Wichita

Easy one, go to: www.hotwire.com, put in 30-Dec to 31-Dec. Book the 3.5 star Central Wichita hotel. Should be $84 before taxes. This will get you the Hyatt Regency (probably nicest hotel in Wichita). 6 miles from the arena, nothing is really within walking distance.

Good luck, let me know how it goes.

Re: Wichita

did one a lil less. 3 star which sounded nice...and it was....

Cresthill Suites - 16 min away and 2 turns to get to the Arena

$44 plus taxes and cancellation waiver fees came to $64

Re: Wichita

Is that Higgins in that video? Jesus he looks young! Also never noticed the cheerleader falling down, that is kind of funny.

I remember watching that game, couldn't believe he made it, that was a tough shot.
