E-mail from Coach Mac

Hot off the press! Here is an e-mail that Mac sent out to all of the Maniac's. It's so cool to get these kinds of messages!

Maniac's:

Things have finally slowed down a little for us but I have not forgotten how awesome the atmosphere was in the UNI-Dome Tuesday night. You were unbelievable!! Both teams were very tired.....you gave us the energy to find a way to beat the Hawks!! I've heard several stories about Hawkeye fans stating that they need to bring the Hawk's Nest to a game at the Dome to see how students are suppose to act!! You made it difficult for the Hawks but did so in a respectful manner....which I appreciate.

Five years ago the Dome was over half full of Hawkeye fans when we played against them. Thanks to you, that is no longer the case! We have an important game Saturday night versus UMKC. They lost a four point game at Penn State last night so they are a good team. If you are looking for a study break before finals begin we would love to see you in the Dome Saturday!

Thanks for being the best fans in the country!! The Cameron Crazies have nothing over you!! Good luck with Final Exams and have a great holiday season!!

Go Panthers!!

Coach Mac

I'm going to plea to the students who are on this board, if you're in Cedar Falls Saturday night and are looking for something to do between 7:00-9:00 PM...please get over to the DOME. You can help create the type of atmosphere in the building to help the guys win this next game...which is the next most important game on the Panther schedule!

I hope to see you all there! You make the atmosphere great for the players for sure, but you also make it fun for other fans to come as well. We love watching and lsitening to you guys get rowdy (in a respectful manner like Coach Mac said) and making the DOME a tough place to play.

GO PANTHERS and see you Saturday!

I will be there. I wouldn't miss it for the world because I love Panther basketball!!!!!

[Newsbreaker]

A total class act.

Fabulous effort and showing by the Maniac's, but Id have to agree with NJ, unless we can see that game in and game out, it doesn't mean much. I know that whenever I am at UNI games, you know the Maniacs are there, but Tuesday they made sure the whole state knew they were there, and that kind of excitement should be there for every game, no matter what the opponents record, or jeresey says. Its time for the Maniacs to take the lead and make UNI as much of a basketball school as a football school. Drag people to the games if necessary, I mean its free for crying out loud, You have to pay $25 extra a year on top of $200 student activities fees to watch Nebraska play basketball, and they are well not a good team. UNI is a great team. So Maniacs, thank you for the great time, congrats on the fan support, and get the students to the rest of the games too, only you guys can do that.

Definetly preaching to the choir, I mean come on you're posting this on Panther Nation I'll be at the game, with a couple friends and yeah we'll be making the noise as always.

[#1pantherfan]

you can preach to me 2317, I will listen to you. Even the choir needs to hear stuff every once in a while.

[Matt Trump]

2317 is the REVEREND OF PANTHERNATION!!!!

[panther2317]

AMEN brother. I do like to get on my soapbox from time to time.

I'm not a student, but I will most likely be in the student section and loud as f***.
