Jordan Ashton?

    Jordan Ashton?

    So I was surfing around online the other day, and when I checked out our basketball roster on the UNI Athletics website, I noticed that Ashton is not on the official roster.

    Does anybody know if something happened to him between his departure from Ames to now? Is it just an issue of paperwork or something regarding his status as a grad transfer?

    It's updated for next year already? His Twitter still has multiple mentions within the last few days about being at UNI.
    To avoid confusion - my username is baseball (Cy Young award) related, NOT for the Cyclones.

      I don't know where he stands academically, but if he's not yet enrolled, they can't add him to the list (since he's a transfer). I've heard nothing of him not being on campus or being a Panther this year.

      He could have had to finish out a May term class at ISU first before signing his NLI/transfer paperwork. There is at least one other on the team that has been working out but isn't on the official roster...I imagine a walk on since there are no other schollys available.

        The roster update was done in late May IIRC. It's been up there for a while.

          Grad transfers have to be finished at their previous school and enrolled in a grad program before they can officially be on the roster, that roster hasn't been updated in a while so he might already be

            On June 1st he tweeted, "Moving up to school today.. Excited for the journey this year ������ #NewBeginnings". If it hasn't been updated since May, that makes sense. He probably finished at ISU shortly before the 1st.

                Anybody know if there is more to this excerpt from the courier?

                  Last I heard, and take this with a grain of salt, is that he's got a summer class to finish in Ames before he can transfer. Supposed to be done Mid-July and then he can move up here. Can't be a grad transfer without actually graduating...

                    Coaches also aren't allowed to comment on players who aren't enrolled/LOI'd

                      Roster has been updated with pics of the new guys in their suit jackets and ties! Ashton not yet listed but that's just a formality of his class having to be finished online at ISU (per the Gazette's article recently I believe)...or OPR (can't remember which).
