  • You can't do this boys

I know, I know, it's only one game. But this can't happen if you want a good seed in the Dance. It also always hurts when the casual fan comes out and sees a loss, they tend to not come back as quickly. It's a sad fact, unfortunately.

    Grrr.

C'mon boys, lets put it behind us and get the next one.

It's a setback for sure, but UNI lost twice to Creighton last season and still made it to the Dance. Now, they need to shake this off (24 hour rule) and then get ready for another road "W" in Normal! GO PANTHERS!!!

sorry, it was my fault. I actually went to the game, thus cursing them to play horribly.

I left during the time out with 5:35 remaining (being superstitious, as I had left with 5:00 to go in the southern illinois football game, and they managed to come back). I walked across campus to my house, got home and turned on the radio to hear that they had tied it up. However, once I had turned on the radio, they were unable to score. (I should have turned off the radio, as that is what I had done with the SIU FB game).

      it won't happen again. ;op

        Hey JayJ79 I hear you...

I have the frustration of being a Panther fan who lives in Nebraska surrounded by Jays fans. An Omaha station broadcast the game and it's the first one I watched on TV this year. What happens, the Panthers come up short. I watched it in a bar surrounded by Creighton fans. Not the best night I've ever had.

Unfortunately, it's a trend. Last year I saw one UNI home game...against Creighton. It was a long drive home. I'm tempted not to go to the return game in Omaha. That should guarantee a win!

Hopefully Crawford isn't hurt bad, but that didn't look good.

Being down here in the Florida Keys, I don't get much of a chance at all to follow games except from afar and the internet. How did we lose? Since Creighton only scored 55, we must have played good defense. Did we have a bad shooting night?

Bad shooting night and Erick Crawford didn't play much due to an injury. Ben had a good look with 1.6 even though we had to go the length of the floor.

UNI really needs to get a "W" in Normal on Saturday afternoon. Then we can talk about the league leaders coming in on Monday.

One game at a time, still 14-3, the wheels are still firmly on track and good things can happen. 24-hour rule in effect...then, all eyes on the Redbirds.

How serious is Crawford's injury? Man, I hate injuries. They're such a ***** to deal with.

It doesn't sound good. KWWL said it was a mid ankle sprain....sound familier?

If you are referring to Sanders, than no. His was a HIGH ankle sprain and the difference between several weeks of recovery time.

I hope Crawford gets back soon!

Yea, I don't know all I have to say is that 8 points giving Creighton in the MVC is a lot of points even if they don't have Funk. 8 Points is a lot of points to give in this conferenece. That is if anyone was betting on this game!

It's not an ankle sprain, high or otherwise. I was standing next to the end of the Panther bench during the game and Crawford was in a lot of pain. They kept looking at the top of his foot. I don't know the specifics of the stress fracture he had during the preseason, but this looks like a reinjury along those lines....which would not be a good thing. They had multiple people besides the trainer come and evaluate it and just for kicks tried to retape it, but he was in so much pain he couldn't even put his sock back on. Hopefully an MRI shows something positive after the initial pain wears off. He had ice on the top of his foot after they took the tape off for the second time and he left the floor wearing a boot and was on crutches. I'm not going to speculate any further as to what the injury is or its severity. I didn't get a chance to hear Mac's postgame comments on the subject, but this is what I observed the last 6 minutes of the game. I'll be shocked if he doesn't miss significant time. Horrible if true, I feel terrible for him..never want to see this during someone's last go round. Panther Nation needs to cross their fingers for him.

Mac didn't sound optomistic concerning Crawford's injury during the post game concerning Crawford's injury. Said he was going to have an MRI this morning and sounded very concerned.

Well, I hope we hear good news today on Crawford's injury, that kid is a warrior and is a big part of the heart and soul of this team. But, if we hear bad news, then it's a chance for Travis and others to step up and be solid contributors right now.

I think Mac's got reason to be concerned. This is an injury that could swing a lot of ways on scale of badness.

And I wasn't on PN last night because there's some things that need to be worked out about me being on there during work hours...needless to say, Gary and I aren't especially pleased, but he says he's gonna take care of it. I missed you guys!

Leave it to a Med Student to call me out. Maybe I was just referring to "ankle sprain" and one of our leaders going down.

I also heard on the way out that the pain was in the area of the stress fracture that kept him out earlier in the year and that he was going to have an X-Ray.

Either way, he looked like he was in some serious pain. Let's hope for a quick recovery.
